LIVING WITH A curse proved to be a terrible existence, though that were obvious, it was painfully so to Marisol Bigora. It seemed that she had been cursed the moment she had fled her village after killing a merchant and taking off with her sister's newborn child to save her from becoming a pariah as the one who gave birth out of wedlock, taking off to England where she met the enchanting Katerina Petrova. The two from similar backgrounds became friends, always there to help each other out of trouble.

When Katerina attracted the attention of a Niklaus Mikaelson, the two were invited to the elegant parties where Marisol would dance away the nights in hopes for a suitor that would care for her and Magnus, her nephew. She thought she had found one as she continuously met with Elijah Mikaelson, who entranced her from the moment she locked eyes on him. Through small kisses and heart skips, she felt as though she was in love with him, that maybe they could have a forever.

At least, that was until Katerina came to her one night with the truth that Niklaus and Elijah were vampires who were going to kill her to free the former from his own curse. All he needed was a Petrova, a vampire, and a werewolf - just like her. Believing that Elijah had only charmed her to use her as the werewolf in the ritual, she aided in Katerina's escape and new life as a fledgling. She took Magnus and fled England, hiding away from the Mikaelsons who who would surely kill her.

And in this time, one did manage to find them. Kol Mikaelson came and killed her nephew, causing Marisol to return back to her home village where she was cursed by her sister for not properly caring for him. With a new vampiric nephew and a curse that would force her to love until the one who truly held her heart perished, Marisol was subjected to an immortal life as a werewolf.

For five hundred years she went without meeting another Mikaelson. She protected herself and her nephew, kept them out of trouble and out of reach of the original family, until she found herself in New Orleans at the same time as the newly hybrid Niklaus. Only, he didn't murder her on the spot, he enlisted her in the protection of his unborn child...what?
