[Vol 2] Entering VR

Predator's POV

We were on the dropship heading to the IMS Lastimosa. I disembarked Rose with Riley in my hand. She seemed a lot more relaxed.

Weiss: She's so cute wootie.

Predator: Weiss. Stop.

Ruby: But shes cute.

Predator: I know she is but she needs to relax and you two need to sleep.

Weiss: Well we can't sleep on the ship.

Sarah spoke through my helmet comms.

Sarah: You're bringing a dog on the ship!?

Predator: Yeah.

Sarah: Ugh.

I swear I could hear her mumble 'imbecile'

Sarah: Fine but if it makes a mess, it's your ass on a platter.

Predator: Understood.

Sarah: And keep it away from the other pilots. I don't want an army of pilot begging for pets. Command out.

Predator: Hunter 2-1 out.

We arrived at the ship. Ruby and Weiss ran back to the barracks as Rose got out the ship.

Rose: GOODNIGHT PILOT...
DON'T LET THE BED BUGS BITE.

Never heard that before. Goodnight Rose.

Rose: HOW DID I DO?.

There's things we need to work on but it went well otherwise.

I was walking away to the barracks.

Rose: I KNOW I'M NOT LEGION BUT I WANT TO TRY TO BE BOTH YOUR TITAN AND YOUR FRIEND.

I stopped.

I know. You're trying your best. Goodnight.

I walked in the barracks to see everyone asleep. I took Riley and laid her on my pillow. I sat up thinking about Rose.

Her A.I feels alot more...personal than Legion.

I looked at Ruby sleeping.

Hard to believe I have you love. I just hope you and your friends are ready when the time comes.

I walked out waiting for the morning light to hit.

INJECTING 10cc OF STIM...
INJECTION SUCCESSFUL.

It did very little but it kept me up. I had an idea for Riley to keep her from running off.

I walked in to see Blake in the opposite corner and everyone else around Weiss. She had Riley in her hand. She was rubbing her tummy.

Weiss:.Who's a good girl? You are. Yes you are. Yes you are.

She started having baby talk with her.

Yang: Where did she come from?

Blake: Please keep her away from me.

Sun: Come on Blake. Its a puppy.

She gave him a death stare.

Predator: He's right. Everyone back up.

I grabbed Riley from Weiss and put her in a makeshift area for her. A rubber ducky near her makeshift bed (using my pillow) and two bowls from the cafeteria filled with water and chicken soup. A piece of plywood keeping her from running off.

Ruby: When did you make that?

Predator: I made it while you all were asleep.

Ren: Did you even sleep?

Predator: Yeah.

Scarlet: You don't look like you did.

He's on to me.

Predator: I did. Now let's go. We have VR training in a couple hours.

Everyone followed me to a wardrobe. Suits hung everywhere displaying the user's abilities once the suit is worn.

Predator: The outfits you see before you have unique properties along with some basics. Ammunition, stim, heads up display, jump kits, night vision, and radio comms.

Blake: Night vision?

Predator: In your case you don't have to use it.

Sage: How will these suits fit us?

Predator: The underlayer stretches so you can fit. I'll help you guys adjust it.

Yang: Yay. We all get butt jets.

Everyone giggled a bit.

Predator: That's not funny.

Yang: Evidently it is to them.

Weiss: What about our semblances?

Predator: You will still be able to use your semblance while in the suit. That I cannot help with seeing that I don't have a semblance.

Jaune: Wait. You didn't have a semblance?

Predator: Nope. It was the suit all along. That and augmentations.

Jaune: Oh.

Nora: Let's get our suits on!

Ren: Nora...

Predator: Alright. Let's get started.

After two hours of messing with their outfits they managed to have their outfit permanently adjusted to fit them.

[The next chapter will be a slide show of their armor and weaponry. As a warning my character is only  Gen 2.50 so I don't have the solid color camos. It will not count as a chapter.]

Blake: They're surprisingly light.

Weiss: I know right?

Scarlet: This looks great on me.

Sage: Speak for yourself Scarlet.

Neptune: I agree. I look pretty cool.

Predator: You guys can stop now.

They stopped talking.

Predator: Follow me.

We all walked to the VR room. 12 rooms filled with 12 capsules in each room. A male engineer sat in tbe middle of the main room. We walked up to him.

Predator: I need an empty room.

Engineer: Let me check.

He left and came back a second later with a keycard.

Engineer: Room 5.

Predator: Thanks.

We walked into room 5. Capsules around the room.

Predator: Everyone get in.

Ren: We can't. They're locked.

Predator: Oh.

I put the keycard into the slot next to the door. The capsules opened up vertically. Everyone got into their respective capsule. They looked the same as the IMC's VR capsules.

Sage: What now?

Predator: Follow the green light with your eye.

They listened. A helmet dropped from above the seat.

Predator: Now grab the helmet and flip the blue switch in front of you.

They listened.

AI: APPLYING ANESTHETIC...
PLEASE PILOT...
GO TO SLEEP...

I felt so tired.

Predator: Listen to the.
