[Vol 2] Double Jumping

Ruby's POV

What n-. ZZZ.

I woke up in a middle of nowhere.

Ruby: Woah.

The others came out of nowhere.

Weiss: This feels so wrong.

Blake: For once I agree with the ice queen. 

Weiss: Hey you!

Predator: Enough you two.

He walked from behind us.

Where's Yang?

Yang appeared with everyone else.

Yang: Aww. Too tired.

Predator: I hope you're joking.

Yang: A little bit.

Neptune: That was cool.

Sun: Where are we?

Predator: Shut up!

Everyone was silent.

Predator: Welcome to VR training ladies.

Neptune: But we're men.

Sun: Yeah.

Predator: Ladies please. Our first lesson will be the double jump.

A cube twice his size appeared behind him.

Weiss: How did you-?

Predator: I'm the admin for this room.

What?

Predator just sighed.

Predator: Space magic.  

Nora: Called it!

Predator: Anyways. I'm going to demonstrate a double jump using my jump kit.

He ran towards the cube. As he got near it, he jumped in the air. When he reach his maximum height he put his legs down causing his jump kit to ignite taking him higher. His feet barely landed on top of the cube. He turned around to look at us.

Predator: For now just try to jump while standing still. Your jump kits should be active.

As he said that my helmet displayed a message.

Jump Kit: Active

I tried to jump and failed.

Dang.

I tried again. Fail.

Darn.

I tried again and felt myself fly a little higher.

Woah! I did it!

I landed and tried again.  Success.

Yay!

I look to see some of us struggling.

Predator: Imagine yourself jumping in the air. This technology involves your mind.  Everything you do will involve thinking.

Everyone eventually succeeded.

Predator: There we go. Now I want you guys to jump up here.

I went first.  I jumped high enough to land on it but almost tripped.

Predator: Well at least you got up here. Good job love.

The others managed to jump up to us.

Predator: Nice job, all of you. Now you will be running through this obstacle course.

Several more cubes appeared with the last cube having a checkered flag. Each cube going up higher and higher. A bottomless pit below the higher cubes.

Predator: Go as fast as you can but remember that it's not a race. At least not yet.

Not yet?

Jaune: So what happens if we uhhh. Fall?

Predator: I'll show ya.

He pushed Jaune off the cube we were on. We looked down horrified at what he did.

Jaune: WWWHHhhhyy!?

Weiss: You monster!

Predator: Give it a second.

Sun: Why do yo-!?

Jaune appeared once more in front of us.

Nora: Jaune! You're?

Predator: Alive? Yes. This is why the Militia uses these VR capsules to train. It allows us to kill each other without the risk of death. In essence if you die.

He jumped off into the pit. A second later he appeared.

Predator: You come back unharmed.

We were still confused. He was getting irritated.

Predator: Just run the damn course.

We all ran at once. Some of us didn't make the first jump due to lack of room.

Sage: YOU Asses!

Neptune: I'M TOO Cool to d-!

Its not a race.

I waited for everyone else to run. Some reappeared and completed the jump. I finished the course to see Jaune had finished it first.

Predator: Jaune I think we found something you're good at.

Jaune: Thanks sir.

Predator: I swear to god, the next one of you to call me sir I will shoot you.

Sun, Blake, and Yang were the last to finish.

Sun: What now si-.

*PO-BOOM*

Blake: What the!?

Predator fired the Kraber-AP at Sun. We watched Sun explode and reappeared where he died.  We were horrified once more.

Sun: What was that!?

Predator: I warned all of ya . Anyways congrats.  We're done here for the night. Get some food and do whatever you want. We'll learn wallrunning tomorrow.

He clicked a few buttons on his right arm and we all felt like we just woke up. Capsules opened up vertically.

VR is awesome and weird at the same time.
