Chapter 37: Where is she?

Natsu's POV:
"Okay, she's already half an hour late could she have changed her mind?" I thought to myself.

Tears threatened to fall, but I held back to the best of my ability or so I thought.

"Natsu" someone called out and tapped my shoulder, turning around I noticed it was my best man Gray Fullbuster.

"What is it Gray?"

Gray pulled me a little closer, then leaned in close to me.

I was about to pull away creeped out by his action, until I heard him whisper "You're crying man."

"No, I'm not" I argued

"Yeah, you are Natsu" Gray sighed.

I was about to argue back, but stopped seeing the serious look on his face mixed with concern.

I shook my head no trying to convince myself...

"I-I...I...I'm not...I'm not c-crying!!"

Unfortunately, the harsh truth broke through...

I fell to my knees, sobbing uncontrollably the pain was just too much that I ran out the chapel.

"NATSU COME BACK!" I heard my friends say but I just kept on running.

I ended up running to a garden not too far from the church.

Finding a nice steady bench swing I sat down trying to clear my head. 

I pull out my phone and speed dial my beloved fiancee's phone number, but it just goes to voicemail again.

"Luce, where are you?" I sadly sighed, looking up at the sky.

So many thoughts were running through my head and none of them were positive ones.

"What if she was kidnapped?"

"What if she changed her mind?"

"No, she would have told me" I chuckled to myself.

The chuckles soon grew quiet as more accusations filled my head.

"What if she never loved me to begin with?"

"What if this was all a big joke?"
