Chapter 44 Birthday Kiss

FLO POV

It’s Chanyeol’s birthday today.

I carried his cake carefully to the cafeteria. I stop to light the candles. The boys were distracting the birthday boy while I slowly enter from behind him. Suddenly they all start to sing happy birthday.

“Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you!” We all sang as I place the cake in front of Chanyeol who looked surprised.

“Guys!” he said and for once was at loss of any reaction.

“happy birthday Yeolle.” I said.

“I-I.. Thank you!” Chanyeol said.

“Blow the candles and make a wish.” Minny urge.

He closed his eyes and did what Minny asked.

“Happy birthday!” the boys screamed lathering him icing and kissing his cheek like old ladies. Minny and I step away from the table laughing.

After they were done acting like kids I hand Chanyeol a towel.

“you just wasted my birthday cake.” Chanyeol said wiping his face but was smiling.

“That cake was baked by Flo so we all know it’ll still taste good even if it looks like that.” Chen said.

“We could have taken a picture first.” I said shaking my head ruefully. “anyway. Group picture. Come on.”

They crowed beside and behind Chanyeol.

“Why are you taking the picture? You should be with us.” Tao asked seeing me holding my phone.

“Ehh? Who will take the picture then?” I ask

“I can take it for you Flo.” Someone said.

“Can you?”I ask her.

“thanks!” I said handing her the phone and went to sit beside Chanyeol.

Minny was on the other side of the birthday boy.

“ready? One, two, three!” The girl said and took the picture.

“thanks!” I said taking my phone back.

“You’re welcome. Can I give this to Chanyeol-sshi?” she asked.

“Sure. Who says no to presents?” I said to her. Girls ran up to Chanyeol and gave him their presents and left instantly.

There seems to be an unspoken rule that no one can bother us at lunch. They have the rest of the day. Lunch was our time.

“I don’t know what to give to you so here.” I said to Chanyeol handing him a CD of his favorite singer.

“Flo this is a rare edition! How did you find it?” he asked.

“I have my connections and that’s from Minny and me.” I said grinning and kissing his cheek. “happy birthday Yeolie.”

“Thank you!” he said clapping his hands happily as Minny kissed his other cheek.

The boys gave their present to Chanyeol. A customized t-shirt.
