My parents looked at me in horror.

"Mom, I-I'm so sorry, I don't know what happened—"

"Call an ambulance Y/N." My dad demands, his voice clear with anger.

I nodded shamefully as I dialed an ambulance. When it arrived, I decided to stay home just in case I would hurt anyone again. As me and Gruff watched the car take my parents away, he looked at me with a sympathic look.

"I'm sorry Y/N. I couldn't prevent it." He says.

"It's not your fault, Gruff." I told him, looking down at my feet. "It's not mine either. It just possessed me at the wrong time." That was a lie. I knew this was my fault. I'm the reason that she's injured.

"We should go inside and clean up, Y/N." He tells me, starting to head back inside as I followed him with a nod.

"I'll call Twinkle and Sienna to help," He told me as they appear moments later—Twinkle was a kitten, who was always curious about everything and Sienna, who was also a dog like Gruff, was more mature and always knew what was best for her friends.

"Hey, Y/N. Are you okay? What happened? Did your parents get attacked?" Twinkle asks, his curiousness starting to show.

"Uh—"

"Twinkle, don't bombard her with questions. She's going through a tough time." Sienna tells him, flashing me a warm smile. "You can rest for a while, we'll clean up." She offers, telling Twinkle to sweep up the broken plates as she continued to fix the walls.

"You're sure you don't want any company?"

"I'll be okay, Gruff." I told him, trying to smile as I made my way to the bedroom.

I curled myself into a ball on my bed and started to cry.

Why did I have to be possessed by a demon? Why did I constantly have to worry about going insane and then hurting the people I loved? I just wish it would go away. I wish it would leave me alone.

My phone lit up as my ringtone played.

I recognized the caller so I picked it up and brought it to my ear.

"Hey Jake, it happened again."
