As we walked hand in hand back to the house, I hear my own heart beating in sync with Enoch's. His breath hitches in his throat as I turn my head to see his adam's apple bob up and down. He seemed nervous.

"Hey, are you okay?" I spoke as we stopped trudging, looking up at his expression with concern.

"Me? I-I, y-yeah, I'm fine," Enoch stuttered out and I raised an eyebrow. "Sure," I replied sarcastically. "What's really wrong?"

"You."

"What?" I blinked in confusion.

"You're what's wrong. I think you've probably already guessed, but I'm in love with you. Like a lot. And I'm afraid of losing you," He finished with a thoughtful smile and I blushed.

"That all you can do, O'Connor?" I challenged as he leaned in slowly, our noses barely touching. Before I knew it, Enoch's lips were on mine with so much passion and love. A thousand fireworks were set off in my stomach as the butterflies flew around, trying to get to safety. I pulled away first, and it seemed like Enoch didn't want to, almost to delay what he was going to say next.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He looked at me, eyes glazed over with nervousness, and it went so quiet that I could almost hear his heart thumping.

"Took you long enough," I said with a smirk but then I smiled fully. "Of course I will," I pecked Enoch's cheek as they become a rosy color. He gently grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers as we walk back to the house with smiles on our faces.

"Where have you two been?" Jake queried as we entered the front door and into the dining room, where I saw him and Emma cleaning the table.

"Off snogging, probably." She giggled, her mop of blonde curls falling over her pale face as she dragged the piece of cloth along the wooden table.

"We weren't." Enoch defends angrily as he clenches his fists. When I gave him a raised eyebrow, his expression softened.

"We were at the beach," I giggled, gazing at him as Enoch smiled.
