Your POV
°°°°°°°°°°°°

"Y/N, wake up."

I fall out of unconsciousness and I open my eyelids to see a blurry figure. I rub my eyes and realize it had been Enoch who woke me, a grin on his face.

"Morning love," He greeted and I smile at him.

"What time is it?"

"An hour before breakfast," Enoch replied, helping me sit up. "Why so early?" I yawned, my body starting to fall back down onto the bed but he takes me in his arms in a tight hug.

"I don't know, I just wanted to talk to you, that's all." Enoch says simply, his thick Scottish accent filling my ears. Memories of my dream from last night start pouring in and I pulled away, looking at him with a terrified expression. "My dream last night."

"What happened?" Enoch asks, his voice laced with concern as he stroked my hair gently to try and calm me.

"The demon... It wasn't using my body anymore. It left, but before it did, it killed everyone."

I had told Enoch about the demon that possessed me, along with the story behind it. I told him about Gruff and the other spirits too. He didn't think I was insane like my parents did, and I appreciated that so much.

"Hey, it's okay. It's just a dream, okay?" He soothed, taking me in for a hug for a second time.

"Y-You were there. And you were saying horrible things—the things you said, on t-that night where we had our first kiss."

"About,"

"About the people I killed and my peculiarity." I finished his sentence, tears beginning to fall but I held them back.

"I didn't mean that, you know..." Enoch looks at me, his brown eyes filled with concern.

"I'm still not over it, Enoch. We kissed, and that made me feel better. I swear, I tried to push away the words you said but every night I couldn't help but think about them."

"I'm sorry. I really am." I ignored his apology, instead I stood up and walked away.

"Y/N—"

"I'm scared of what will happen. I can't kill any of you."

"You won't. As long as Gruff is there."

"I can't depend on him forever! What if he isn't there? What if he can't help me anymore?"

I started crying and I felt Enoch's arms wrap around me. I yanked away from his grip, rushing out the door.

"Y/N," Gruff calls as he sat next to me. I had ran to the beach, silently gazing into the ocean as I collected my thoughts. I turn to face him with a sad look.

"We have to leave." I told him. "Why now?"

"Because I'm scared it will happen again."

"The last time it did was so long ago, Y/N. We can't leave."

"It's been 2 months," I avoided eye contact, turning to face the ocean as I answered him quietly, almost in a whisper.

"See? You're going to be okay," Gruff assured me, and it almost sounded like he thought the demon had left. But I knew for a fact that it didn't, or else I wouldn't have such terrible nightmares.

"It could come back any moment, ever thought of that?"

Gruff stood silent. I knew he wanted to say something, since he opened his mouth but closed it, figuring that he would probably regret it afterwards.

"I-I need to tell you something."
