"I think he's coming around" I told Mia and Chase,
"See I told you!" Mia said as I played with the locket around my neck,
"He's your brother, he can't stay mad at you forever" Chase voiced and I nodded.
"Anyways we should get going the bell is going to ring in... a minute, we're going to be so late" Mia said collecting her books as we left the cafeteria and only then had we noticed there only a few people left here including us.
Just then the bell rang and I still hadn't gotten my books from my locker so I said a quick goodbye to Mia and Chase and I jogged to my locker. There was nobody in the hallways now since everyone was in class already and I quickly grabbed my books for my next period and began walking towards the classroom.
As I passed a corridor I heard groaning coming from down the end of it and my inner dirty mind shuddered but these groans sounded more like they were in pain and that was the only reason I decided to investigate.
As I reached the end of the corridor the groans got louder and louder until I got to another locker area to where the source of the noises were coming from,
"Kasey!" I whispered but it came out as more of a shout, "are you okay?!"
I asked as I knelt down next to her.
She was crouched down on the floor, leaning against a locker with her eyes screwed shut. When she heard my voice her eyes opened looking at me full of hate before she shut her eyes again groaning loudly.
She clutched her side tightly and I inspected it, taking a closer look at it. Under her hand was a large patch of blood that was being soaked up by her t-shirt.
"Here let me help you," I told her, taking off my flannel but she stopped me,
"I don't need your fucking help Hunter" she spat spitefully at me but she let out another groan making her shut up,
"Really? Because by the looks of it, you do" I retorted and she didn't reply so I tied the flannel around her waist tightly to stop the bleeding and arranged it so you couldn't see the blood so if we did pass anybody it wouldn't be so suspicious.
I hoisted her up and she let out a small cry of pain, "Sorry" I murmured as I put her arm around my shoulders and put my hand around her waist so she could lean on me as we walked down the hallway.
"We need to get you to the nurse or the hospital or- or"
"No none of that" she told me quietly,
"Are you crazy? You're hurt!"
"Are you stupid? They'll ask questions that I can't answer without getting arrested!"
"So then what do we do?!"
"Go to my car, my keys are in my pocket, you'll have to drive to this place I know",
"I think you're delirious"
"No I'm dead serious, go!"
Kasey instructed me to her car, it looked extremely expensive and I risked crashing it.
"Do you know how many times I've failed my driver's test?" I asked her helping her into the passenger seat of her car,
"Jesus, Alex, if you wreck my car I will fucking murder you",
"If we don't die in the crash," I mutter,
"What!?"
"Nothing!" I said before starting up the car and driving out of the school parking lot.
