||Conflict: a serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one.||

The entire room was stifling with suffocating silence. The Gardenias stood shocked at Arabella's admission, mostly angry at what she was doing. Benjamin was the one though, who harboured the most hatred for this fated union. He was proud that his sister had not accepted the king and by the looks of it, she did not want to.

"I-I don't understand." Arabella's mother stuttered out confused.

"Arabella is my moon chosen mate." The king repeated slower this time.

"Why haven't you told anyone?" Daria asked her daughter, trying to piece together this perplexing puzzle.

"I-" Arabella began before the king cut her off.

"She has refused to accept me." The king said, his voice coated in disappointment.

"What?" Daria asked appalled. Alpha Mike and his wife had been awfully quiet.

"Why?" Her mother asked.

"He is your mate Arabella." Her father scolded.

"She can choose who she wants to be with. If she does not want him, that means she does not want him. No one can force her nor will I allow anyone to such. " Benjamin cut in, he saw how he had been for those months. He didn't have the right to waltz into her life and claim her.

The king narrowed his eyes at Benjamin, realizing what he was insinuating.

"This is your mate we are talking about. You must accept him. And what about your new duties as Luna Queen?" He mother asked, trying fervently to figure out  Arabella's almost rejection.

"What?" Arabella asked angrily at her agonizing mother.

"It is your responsibility to accept your mate and moreover, to accept and carry out your roles as Luna Queen. Mates are a gift from the moon." Daria pleaded with Arabella.

"It is not my responsibility until I accept it and clearly you can see I have not. I will not allow anyone to dictate how I handle this- this situation. I do not have to accept him. I have a choice." Arabella said ruefully as she got off the bed in a haste.

The King looked at her worriedly as she got off the bed, but sadness blossomed within his heart and hurt him like never before on a whole new level.

"I agree with Arabella." Luna Sophia spoke out, with an undertone of contempt evident in her voice.

Defeat and disappointment were slowly diffusing in the king's body. His face hardened but his concern that shone in his eyes never wavered.

"Dr. Steele says that you should get not work up yourself. Your high blood pressure triggers your episodes. Can I get you all something to eat?" The King asked defeated.

"Who says she is staying here with you?" Benjamin spat out distastefully.

"Excuse me?" The Kings resonant voice asked offended.

"I will also decide where I stay." Arabella said looking around and narrowing at the king and Benjamin . Her dress was tight and irritations against her body.

"It is safer here than at any other hospital in the county." The king argued.

"I said I will decide where I will stay!" Arabella argued with equal vigour.

"Like she would ever stay with the pathetic bastard that ruined her life. If she doesn't kill him first, I will." Benjamin's mumbled under his breathe but purposely loud for the King to hear.
