Tobias PoV
What did she just say? She said her family got in a car crash and may not make it. Dang it. I feel like a horrible person. Just before she started running, she threw something at my feet. I look down and my heart breaks. The locket I gave her. She really thinks she picked the wrong best friend.
I slide down the side of the tree. My Tris is gone now. Just because I believed some idiots story. I need to tell the others. Now! I just can't see her run away. None of us are talking to her. Her family may die. She might as well be thinking of offing herself. No she would never do that. Would she? I did say people change. But Tris doesn't change and that's something I love about her. nothing affects her.
I take out my phone and text them.
Four: Guys we have a situation
Zeke: What is it? Does it involve Tris
Uriah: What?
Christina: what happened
Marlene: What
Shauna: what
Will: Dude what's going on.
Four: its Tris
Zeke: what did she do? I'll personally beat her ass
Four: she didn't do anything so back off
Marlene: whoa when did you get protective of Tris. I thought you hated her.
Four: I did but then she told me that her family got in a car accident and they might not make it. and that none of is care about her and when she said it she might as well have just told me she'd commit suicide.
