Renn

I scan the photo of Luke and I at the airport just before he left. It's been a week since they've left and just today he's posted a photo.

Luke_is_a_penguin: love and miss you baby girl :-) see you real soon! Xx

The comments are cute, and at the same time crazy. This "fam" is very supportive, and I really like it.

I double tap the photo to like it, and I lock my phone as Jana walks out of the bathroom, clothed but with her hair in a towel. "Give me like 10 minutes," she says, walking across the living room to get to her room.

I've chosen the room closest to the bathroom, and I'm always the one first to use it. The perks of being next to the bathroom.

I push the trolley around the shop to find the type of jam that Jana only eats. It's some type of mixed jam, not just strawberries.

When I go to look, and walk back, I bump into someone. "Oh my I'm so sorry," I say, looking up to see Hannah.

Hannah is- was Dakota's best friend and kind of like side-kick. She's cunning, and clever but you'll see her as the dumb blonde if you don't look close enough. Hannah was nice to me when we first met, but then Dakota may have told her a lie to stay away from me.

"Sorry I wasn't looking," says Hannah. She doesn't look into my eyes, or at me at all. She keeps her hands locked on the package of biscuits and twists her arms inward.

"It's okay, it was my fault," I say, honestly. Hannah smiles faintly at me and then walks away.

"Hey um Hannah?" I call just before she walks completely away. She turns around to face me and looks. I haven't noticed how miserable not only does she look, but may feel.

"Let's hang out? I'll give you my address," I say, holding out my hand. Am I asking her to shake it? Or to take it? Or maybe I want her to see it as an open door.

"Sure," says Hannah, putting the package in her trolley and walking toward me, pulling her phone out.

I type in my address, name and number. When Hannah turns her wrist, that's when I see it.

"Hannah?" asks Luke. Currently we're on Skype and I've told him about what I saw.

"Yes! Do you think it has something to do with Dakota?" I ask.

"Don't jump to conclusions Renn, you could be just seeing things."

I shrug. I know what I saw, and I'm not lying. Luke sighs and looks to his left, then smiles. It's probably one of the boys or something. "Look, do whatever you can, and if you can stop her, do it. I have to go, talk to you soon?"

I nod my head and smile sadly. "Soon," he repeats. Then, someone yells at Luke.

"Okay okay. Bye Renn, love you," says Luke. I say it back, and end the call.

It's been three days since I caught Hannah at Cole's. It's Saturday, and I've asked her to come over for some baked goods or whatever. Jana and I made some cupcakes, loaves and a cake. Yes, we were that bored.

When the doorbell rings at around five, I watch as Jana squeezes the last lemon into the glass pitcher. She only drinks real lemonade, real orange juice... you know that stuff.

I run to get the door and see Hannah with some flowers. "I passed by this florist on the way and decided to buy some for you," she says, walking in.
