Grace's pov

New school term

new school term starting today, I hope me and Kelly well more Kelly can get through it without any problems. We are walking down the road to get to school holding hands. Kelly has such warms and soft hands I never went to let go of but I know once we get to school were gonna have to which makes me sad but we don't want to put up with bullying.
We finally make it to school and sadly we let go of each others hand and make our way into the school.
The amount of looks we got given was to many to count. Occasionally we heard shouts that said skivers, ditchers, that kind of thing but I gave the short girl Kelly a look that said we can get through this.

"OI!" I hear a few people shout from behind and I knew who it was, Ashley, Jacob and Lillian
"OI DON'T JUST IGNORE US YOU TWAT" Lillian screeches.
"The hell do you want?" I shout turning around
"why the hell are you hanging around with this girl?" Jacob rages
"because she is my!" I was about to shout girlfriend but I stopped myself
"Because I am her friend, are you seriously that blind?" Kelly shouts from behind me. It was funny how shocked everyone looked
"Why would she wanna be friends with a girl like you?" Lillian snaps
"she belongs to our group not yours" Ashley sulks
"Well tough, yes I may of hung around with you a lot before but that was before I realized all of you are just jerks who pick on people who aren't like you!" I yell. How dare they say that after everything she went through

"You better watch your back from now on because we will get you!" Jacobs snaps and walks off but gets stopped by a teacher

"Jacob, Ashley and Lillian please come with me to the headteachers office. Kelly and Grace don't worry about these 3, I'll make sure they are excluded " The teacher says then walks off with Jacobs, Ashley and Lillian.

I look to Kelly as she looks at me. both us smiling. We continue walking down the corridor towards our lockers which happen to be near each other. As we turn the corner to get our lockers we bump into Kelly's band.
"KELLY!" Zoe shrieks giving Her a massive hug
"Zoe you alright?" Kelly asks confused
"You've been off for the last few weeks off school and you didn't answer our messages or calls. I got worried!" Zoe shrieks again
"Aw that's really sweet you still care about me" Kelly giggles
"Of course we still care, we wanted to tell you and me and Zoe are really sorry for the way we acted the other day, it was so uncalled for" Rickey said with regrets in his voice. I could see the smile creep onto Kelly's face. I felt a tug on my arm and I look to see mike, he wanted me to follow him so I did.

"What happened to Kelly?" Mike asks concerned

"Long story, Kelly has depression and she got bullied by everyone at every school she went to because of her music taste, her style and the things she liked. Kelly is gay and she lived with two homophobic parents, she felt hurt that day when Rickey and Zoe had a go at her. the same day Kelly confessed to me and I was so shocked that I rejected her and ran away, her parents found out about her being gay and left her which pushed her over the edge and she tried to kill herself. she cut 3 deep cuts in each wrists and she took a whole bottle of sleeping pills, luckily the nurses saved her"
I explain trying not to cry. I feel Mikes arms wrap around my shoulders and give me a hug for a few seconds then lets go.

"Oh my god Grace I'm so sorry about what happened I am here if you to chat. One question are you two together now?" Mike asks hoping to cheer me up.
"Yes, I explained why I rejected her and then asked her out when she was in hospital. Her dad also visited and her apologized for the way he acted towards her and of course that Kelly a lot more happier. Earlier Lillian and that lot, they're being excluded for threatening Kelly and now she has her best friends back, Imagine how happy she is now" I squeal quietly
"Well I will do anything to make her happy" Mike exclaims happily
"Please don't tell her I told you" I beg
"Don't worry I won't" Mike winks, we walk back over to wear everyone else was.

*ring ring* goes the bell

"Aw so soon" Kelly pouts
"Unfortunately but we will see each other at lunch" I chirp back
"true, see you then" She giggles heading towards the music classroom. I giggle to myself heading towards the dance room.

got to practice a lot from now on, only 2 weeks until the summer showcase
