"Remus?" Alastor Moody asks, concerned. "What's the matter, what's happened?"
"The Malfoy's." Remus sobs, much to both Alastor's and Cygnus's dismay. "They are going to take her away from me."
Cygnus frowns and hugs Remus, mumbling something not quite audible.
"How long do we have?" Alastor asks him, understanding immediately what Remus means to do.
"The man said 'till morning." Remus sniffles.
"First thing's first, stop bawling like s baby and man up. You're not going to do anything when you're sitting there blubbering like a whale." Alastor says.
Then Alastor goes to the fireplace and begins disappearing and reappearing rapidly.
Remus holds the child in his arms with a new passion.
"Remus, give the girl to Molly." Alastor says, behind him Molly Weasley, "You need your head about you."
"Hello Molly." Remus greets her, hugging the child in his arms fiercely.
The young girl squeezes back and kisses his cheek.
"Oh hello sweet girl!" Molly exclaims when Remus begrudgingly hands Cygnus over to her.
Cygnus giggles and waves goodbye to her Moony.
He waves back, and then the green flames steal her away.
