I woke up to the sun rising on my face. I smiled as I noticed my engagement ring shimmering in the light. I sat up and smiled.
"Good morning darling." I heard Kol say.
"Good morning my very handsome fiancee."
"Very handsome? I like the sound of that."
He walked over to me and I wrapped my arms around his neck, which I had to stand on my tip toes to do.
"Well..it's the first day of us as a offically engaged couple. How do you feel?" He asked.
"Like running around screaming about how happy I am..ugh I just can't wait to be your wife and have a fam-" I cut off before saying the word family...
A look of sadness spread across Kol's face and I rested my hand on his cheek.
"It's okay Kol. We can adopt." I smiled.
"I know that you want children but maybe that isn't a good idea. I mean we are both vampires...wouldn't our children find it suspicious that we never get old?"
"Kol...we can tell our children when they are ready."
He nodded and I kissed his cheek
