Chp-24 So Many Possibilities Oh My!

Amaani's P.O.V

I look at my hand, then back at my sister. What did I just do?!

"Y-you-sl-slapped-"

"I-I'm I didn't m-mean it!" I yelp out as tears run down my face.

"Didn't mean it?! You couldn't control the movement of your hand then?!" She screams back making me flinch.

Coldly I say, "Shana. I suggest you listen, if our parents were alive, they would of killed you. I don't have the heart to do that, because I love you and I can't lose my sister. However, I didn't know you would betray me like this."

"You don't understand sister..you don't understand." She whines sobbing.

"Maybe I don't. However I must protect you and follow the rules. You are to stay in your room and your room only, no more sessions for you. All the letters from your lovers kingdom will be checked by me. Also we will be informing his parents of your little affair." I say harshly. My heart feels broken.

"Maids!" I yell out and two maids scurry into the room. I say, "Make sure she gets all the commodities she needs but isn't allowed to leave this room for a month. She can talk to me personally if she does wish for anything else."

They nod and then I walk out of the room with a tear stained face and I hear Zacharias's footsteps behind me. I turn around and say, "Could you leave me to have some alone time?"

"Of course Amaani." He nods and walks away and I walk to my room and sit on the balcony taking in fresh air. While I sit there crying, lots of thoughts whizz around my head.

How could you fall in love that quickly Shana? Why are doing this? He's a Hindu, he's from a smaller kingdom and he's especially not your betrothed! Okay, think carefully Amaani. Also how can he easily just take a 19 year old girl away to the library to talk to her. That is despicable!

I don't understand. Something is wrong, very wrong. I start praying for some guidance to God and then I just end up resting for an hour or so.

After 1 hour...

I walk to the door and call for a maid to get the Royal advisor. After a few minutes, he arrives and he stands across from me nervously.

"I am sure you are aware of the situation?" I say emotionless.

"Yes your majesty, I have been notified. Shana is currently stable and is getting consoled by the maids." He replies.

I nod and I sadly begin saying, "She's fallen in love with someone. Love?! That's not allowed! I don't understand, is she truly in love with him?"

"May ask a few questions your majesty?" He questions and I nod as we both sit down.

"How many letters has she received since the meeting?" I immediately respond with, "Three letters up till now."

"I see, are they extremely affectionate? Usually love letters start out softly with poems and such things." He says thoughtfully making me raise an eyebrow at him.

"And how would you know that royal advisor?" I question with a small smirk, he flushes and replies quietly, "My wife and me used write to each other before we got married, my father was always busy being the advisor here so he never found out about the letters aspect."

I suppose that is sweet. I cough as we continue with the original topic at hand, "Okay I see. Would you like to look at the letters?"
