Three days later...

Amaani's P.O.V

"Ah, yes. Thank y-you so much." I gratefully express to the maid who serves me herbal tea. My hands clutch the cup and I sigh as I sip the slightly bitter substance.

"Dear, are you okay now? When will you be able to properly move without any pain?" My father in law asks concerned.

"Uhm, the doctor here has told me that I can begin to try to move now if it's not too much trouble. I have tried earlier this morning and I managed to get up off the bed."

"Ah, that's good. I am sorry this has happened to you. I'm glad that you are beginning to heal and getting better." Zacharias's father says smiling at me.

Nodding I reply, "Thank you. With God's grace of course."

My eyes glance to the empty side of the bed. Zacharias has been taken to the doctor to change his bandages as well take a herbal bath. Zacharias has managed to start healing before me, since he is used to more heavy hand combat than me.

The room settles in a silence and I begin to sense that my father in law wants to say something. My eyes glance at him in a questioning look.

"Daughter, can I tell you a few things? Is that okay or do you need to rest?" He cautiously asks.

Nodding my head, I reply, "No,no, of course you can speak to me."

He readjusts himself on his seat and I begin to become anxious. After taking a deep breath, he begins to speak.

"Do you love my son truly?" He asks solemnly.

I let out a choked sound of shock as I place down my finished herbal tea. What? What question is that?

"O-of course! He is such a lovely man, so caring. I'm honoured to have him as my husband." I explain panicked.

He raises an eyebrow giving me an unsure glance before saying, "Is that what you thought four months ago, when you sent my son away from the kingdom?"

My heart instantly drops. Oh goodness. What a mistake that was. I should of never done that.

"That was a horrific decision and definitely was idiotic and uncultured of me to do so." I spit out sadly.

He nods clutching his hands together and replies, "He told me his side of the story, as a father, I felt pain seeing my son so broken down and guilt-stricken."

My eyes begin to water in my own guilt  and sadness. Oh goodness he suffered so much, and for all these days, we have kept our talks to a minimum. Oh I don't even know if my sorry is worth all the pain I caused you Zacharias.

"I know there must of been some sort of reason for you to act this way. I know that your parents have taught you very well. He told me all the things happening between you two. I hated to see you two so separated." He explains frowning.

A single tears slides down my cheek and I release a sigh.

"I made a terrible mistake. I shouldn't of sent him away. He was only trying to protect me and keep from harms way-" I begin but he interrupts.

"Don't solely blame yourself Amaani. It's also my son's fault for pressuring you at time like this. I would say this is both your faults and you both need to recover your original relationship and make it even better."
