"Insert section A into section C...what?...that doesn't make sense?" You grumbled and reread the instructions. You'd repeated this step for 10 mins and you still couldn't make it look like the picture. You huffed in frustration and wadded up the instructions. You threw them against the wall, narrowly missing Cas who was coming down the basement stairs.

"Sorry," you apologized. He smiled softly and handed you an iced drink.

"I thought you could use it. You've been down here awhile," he explained when you gave him a confused look. You gave him a weary smile and took the sweet drink, sipping on it lazily. "Are you having difficulties."

"You wouldn't believe," you sighed. "I can translate ancient Latin texts but I can't understand IKEA instructions? What kind of sense does that make?" You set aside your drink and rolled to your stomach. "I tried to do something nice for Bobby and look at me. All I did was make a mess. I'm too sleep deprived for this."

Cas sat down next to you, laughing lightly at your miserable state. "Perhaps you need a break," he suggested as he began running his fingers through your hair. You hummed in response. Cas began to ask you something a few minutes later but wasn't surprised to find you had fallen fast asleep. He looked around at the clutter surrounding you, a bunch of boards and screws tossed here and there. He picked up 2 boards and screwed them together when he found they were a match. He looked down proudly at his work and went to work with 2 others...

"(y/n)...(y/n) wake up.." Cas gently shook your shoulder until you stirred. You opened one eye and found him smiling excitedly down at you.

"What's up Cas?" you asked with closed eyes.

"I finished the project for you."

"Really?" you asked looking up at him. He nodded happily. You sat up in disbelief and were surprised to find a fully assembled desk in front of you.

"What do you think?" the angel asked, still beaming.

"It was supposed to be a bookshelf, Cas."
