LAUREN'S P.O.V.
I spent more and more time with Hunter, now that my parents were constantly fighting. Sometimes I look in the mirror at my tan skin, green eyes, and blond hair, and think, "It's my fault. If only I hadn't wanted so much, or been away so much. If only I had watched him instead of letting him run into the street and get hit by a car. If only." But I knew it wasn't my fault. Dad was there too. Why didn't he do anything?
Hunter smiled at me and said, "My parents aren't home. You wanna have a little fun?"
I shook my head no. I had told him time and time again that I wasn't ready but he never hesitated to ask every single time we were alone. But one thing led to another and we had sex. He offered to drive me home. I stared out the window as we drove. We finally reached my house.
"I love you," I whispered.
"Forever and ever?" he asked.
"To infinity and beyond," I replied.
