One Decision

Chapter 8

~Marcus POV~

Maya ignoring me is like torture, I don't even want to be with Ashley but I am because of her and I'm not even allowed to break up with her, with Maya not giving me a reason. I can also see the pain my brother is in with Sophia not talking to him. I don't even know the reason why they are angry with us. Why are girls so confusing? When we sat down in the classroom in front of Maya and Sophia when we turned around to talk to them, they were already collecting their stuff and moving to another seat. We were about to move to a seat near them when the teacher said

Teacher- Sit down everyone.

During the lesson, I decided to text Maya and Martinus wanted to text Sophia

Marcus- Please Maya, forgive me I really like you

Maya- You already have a girlfriend so leave it alone.

Marcus- That you set me up with, I don't even like her anymore. I will break up with her if that is what it takes.

Maya- Don't break up with her otherwise she would kill me. S0 just please forget about me.

Marcus- If that is what you want them I will do what you ask

Marcus- Goodbye Maya

Once I sent that text message I saw Maya raise her hand and said

Maya- May I please go to the toilet?

Teacher- Yes, you may

As soon as the teacher said that she was already out the door when I had a quick glimpse of her face I could see tears threatening to come out. I instantly knew that it was my fault. But I did what she wanted, didn't I? I need to fix things with Maya so I put my hand up and asked the teacher

Marcus- Can I please go to the toilet?

Teacher- Yes, you can.

I quickly got out of my seat leaving the classroom, the first place I checked was the girl's bathroom. I walked straight into the girl's bathroom and found Maya silently sobbing, sitting on the floor leaning her back on the wall. I walked over to her and sat next to her with my back on the wall as well.  

Marcus- I'm sorry

Maya lifted her head from her hands and dried her eyes she then turned her head and looked at me. 

Maya- What are you sorry about?

Marcus- That I said goodbye

Maya- You don't need to apologize. I'm the one that told you to forget about me.

Marcus- Then why are you crying?

When I asked her that question she broke eye contact with me and looked down at her knees

Maya- I don't really know?

Marcus- Please tell me.

I put two of my fingers under Maya's chin and making her look at me. Then I repeated the same words again

Marcus- Please tell me

Then she mumbled

Maya- Cause I'm not allowed to be close to you

Marcus- Why? Is that why you kept pushing me away?

Maya- Yes. I had to.

Marcus- But why did you need to?

Maya- Becuase otherwise I would be dead.

Marcus- Why would be dead cause I've heard you say that a few times?

Maya- Cause Ashley is like in love with you.

Marcus- That still doesn't explain it.

Maya- That's all

Marcus- I will break up with Ashley right now if you don't tell me. Also please explain why I am dating Ashley.

Maya- Fine you win but you must tell nobody or do anything about it okay?

Marcus- I promise

We pinky promised on it and I really hope it isn't that bad.

Maya- Actually can I tell you after school? I don't really want to tell you about the girl's toilets.

Marcus- Sure. We can meet at the park.

Maya- Okay

We both stood up from our sitting positions and started to walk out of the girl's bathroom. With a smile on our faces, as we were walking back to the classroom. When we walked into the classroom two pairs of eyes were stuck on us and instantly I knew who they were Martinus and Sophia. Maya and I walked back to our spots when I sat down next to Martinus I said

Marcus- The plan is off for lunch because I'm meeting Maya today after school.

Martinus- That's great for you but what about Sophia?

Marcus- Maya could help us.

I got out my phone and texted Maya

Marcus- Could you please help Martinus with Sophia?

Maya- What do you need me to do? 

Marcus- Make Sophia forgive Martinus. 

Maya- Okay
