Chapter 24: Those lame jokes.

"Never enough, never enough..." Niall hummed as he walked down the stairs.

"Hey guys!" He shouted, his hands cupped on both sides of his mouth, giving his voice the microphone effect.

"Someone's in a good mood." Harry commented.

"Looks like you slept really well." Zayn said.

"I mean, how could you not, it's noon." He added, a little envious.

Niall shrugged.
"Do you still want breakfast or straight lunch?" Cheryl asked him.

"Oh no, no. I'll have both." He grinned and sat himself at the breakfast table, acknowledging Angelina by giving her a discreet smile and a nod.

Obviously, she returned it.

"That's my boy!" Louis said, as he then high-fived Niall.

"I don't understand how you people can eat so much." Cheryl put in.

"It's easy. Just bless their fast metabolism." Angelina said, speaking for the first time since everyone arrived.

She had another copy of Stay Tuned in her hands.

"Oh look, there's Justin Bieber in today's magazine." She said aloud.

Everyone look at her, confused.

"Can I make a call?" She asked.

"Sure." Harry replied, still trying to figure out why she said what she had said.

On the second ring, her mother picked up.

"Hi mom!"
"Hello dear! Having fun there?"
"Yeah," Angelina glanced at all of them, who were trying not to overhear the conversation by keeping themselves busy.

But of course she knew, they were listening in. She didn't mind. But she had to admit, the sight in front of her was priceless.

With Liam only staring at the newspaper; Cheryl rushing into the kitchen; Harry playing with his spoon; Louis tapping his fingers on the table; Niall putting all his concentration to the pancake in front of him(but maybe he always concentrated when it came to food); and Zayn, with his head on the table, eyes closed, like waking up was the worst thing that happened to him.

"How are you, mom?" Angelina asked.

She didn't know her mom's voice could make her so happy. These guys made her feel at home, but her mother, only her voice settled her nerves.

Now, don't tell her that.

"I'm fine dear. Dad is coming back tomorrow."

"Oh, I'm going to come home tomorrow." She said, eager to meet her father.

And like his senses enhanced, Niall listened to everything she said from then on.

So she'll go and stay there, and not come back here?

"But Mom, check today's Stay Tuned, Page 4."

"Why?"

"Just do it..." She drawled.

"Alright. I'll check it. It better be something nice for me to let my tea get cold."

Angelina laughed, smiling at her mom's nature.

"Believe me, you won't regret this."

They soon said their goodbyes with Natalie telling her to have fun and the same, typical things, before hanging up.
