Chapter 53: Let's not put labels.

Angelina knew that their fooling around would only hurt her in the long run. But she also knew that the possibility of having something more than this with Niall was basically non-existent.

So.

It was pretty much a "take what you can get" kind of a situation.

She nodded to herself one last time, before making her way to Niall's room for the fourth time that day.

She didn't even bother knocking this time, opening the door to his room, only to be pulled in further, hearing the words "There you are," in a deeply accented voice, before a pair of lips met hers, and she knew nothing else but him.

"Well, you guys seem comfortable," Liam commented with raised eyebrows, his gaze falling directly on Niall's arm that was lightly resting across Angelina's shoulders as they focused on the laptop screen, watching something Liam couldn't see from the opposite end.

Niall hummed dismissively, while Angelina didn't even bother to respond, making Liam's eyebrows go even further up (which is a lot, considering he already looked surprised), but he sighed, shaking his head fondly, as he left them alone to continue with whatever they were doing—not like they bothered to greet him or anything, Liam thought with a fond eye roll.

Everyone at the house was starting to notice the slight shift between Niall and Angelina's relationship.

Harry had even tried to come up with a ship name of sorts.

He decided that "Nangelina" was a good one, but Louis argued firmly, telling the younger lad that his suggestion was a mouthful, to which, "Okay, let me see you come up with a better one, Louis!"

Louis then spluttered his way through combining both their names together, trying to put Angelina's name in front of Niall's, but when that didn't work, Harry snorted, which got him a strong hit in the bollocks ("Ow, Lou!"), and finally, finally, Zayn stepped in with a casual "How about 'Nialina'?" and Zayn was pretty much good at everything, wasn't he? A fucking rockstar, he was.

So that was the end of it. Nialina it was.

On most mornings, Angelina found herself waking up in Niall's bed, his arms around her waist, and the initial shock of waking up next to each other had worn off now, quickly being replaced with lazy smiles and morning kisses instead.

If she was being honest, Angelina hadn't spared much thought to this new arrangement of theirs. Because deep down she knew, if she really thought about it and tried to put a label on it, she would come back disappointed and would probably back out for good.

But.

She wasn't giving it much thought, so with that, she turned around, planting a feather light kiss to Niall's bare shoulder as he smiled in his sleep at her gesture, making her smile.

She looked at him then, her eyes traveling from his hair to the slope of his nose, right to the pink of his lips. Watching Niall look so peaceful brought her peace.

And yeah, that was it. She loved him, but this was it.
