(Back to present time, a week after Frisk's first visit to the lab. Sans perspective)

There is the sudden sound of footsteps echoing through the hallways of the lab, a familiar thing I have grown used to hearing recently. It brings a smile to my face, knowing that Gaster, Alphys and I won't be so bored once they come closer. I notice that the steps become quicker, as they tap their way towards me. A sweet calming voice calls from a short distance.

"Hi Sans!" Frisk comes into view from the corner of my eye. She stopped just feet away and set a brown paper bag down on the long counter I was currently standing at, playing with magnets.

"Papyrus wanted me to bring this for you." the brown bag tipped over, a large tupperware container of spaghetti fell out of it, sliding down the counter. I couldn't help but sigh. He must have made enough for all three of us this time..huh?

"Ah, the Great Spargator... Am I right there kiddo?"

She seemed amused by this comment and nodded. She looked over my shoulder (best she could at least, since i'm a head taller).

She stared blankly, yet curiously at the several magnets I had laid on the slab of countertop in front of us. To my surprise Frisk actually has quite the liking for science. Chemistry mainly. She likes to mess around with different formulas and give me different problems to solve, most of them are what I'd imagine to be college leveled. Which is oddly above what a normal teen her age would be able to even comprehend. (Then again, she's 16 so going on seventeen so...)

Sadly for her though I can solve them with ease. She doesn't really care though. I think her point is to prove that she isn't dumb as a bag of rocks. Which I already knew, even when she was little. I'm relieved to know that she never stopped her urge for learning new things. She was, in a way, a closet nerd. But not at the same time. I couldn't help but admire her sometimes to be honest.

The way she is able to take in so much information without being created for that soul purpose. (Unlike a certain few skeletons created by a much taller, ex-head doctor.) I wonder what it was like for Frisk to be able to grow up. What was her favorite part about her childhood?

Frisk and I say that we are friends, and are, no doubt about it.

But we barely know the first thing about each other. It irks me in a way. How she's so friendly with me even if she has no idea as to things I have a reputation for. She's sweet, but at the same time I know that's a cover up to conceal whatever is being smothered inside her. One day, it'll break free and rain hell on her though. It's bound to happen. And it breaks my heart to know that it's going to tear her up one day. I just hope I'll be there for it...

"Sansy?"

I snapped back into reality at the sound of the new nickname i'd just received, blushing slightly and looking back at the kid. She was still looking over my shoulder. Taking a good peek at her eyes, they seemed to shine like embers, emitting light on their own in the half-lit room. I stared at her, our noses nearly touching. That alone made me blush more, forgetting that she could see my entire face turning a neon blue.

"Uh... What did you call me, Kid?" I tried not to sound too embarrassed, obviously failing. There was a bit of seriousness in her tone, something I remembered from our little "meeting" to discuss Frisk's experiences before falling. She spoke, a smoothness weaving through her words.

"You gave me a nickname. It's only fair if I give you one too." she said.

"Yeah but why 'Sansy'..." I huffed, embarrassed.

"Because YOU have been calling me 'Baby' this whole time."

I jolted at this and shot around in my chair, facing my body towards her. She crossed her arms stiffly.
