Chapter Eight: Getting to Know You

"Hi welcome to Fijn Bar and Kitchen, my name is Delilah and I'll be your server today. Could I️ start you two off with some drinks?" A waiter introduced herself.

"I'll just have a water with lemon please." Ali order.

"Same for me." I️ looked to the waiter who was staring at me and twirling her hair around her finger. I️ rolled my eyes and went back to looking at the menu.

"I'll go get those." She said as she skipped off.

"Everything sounds amazing." I️ said, reading through the menu. Thank god that it had English translation because I️ cannot read or understand Dutch at all.

"Yea, I'm just gonna get my usual here." She laughed.

The waiter brought out our drinks and finally, we were ready to order.

"What could I️ get for you?" She asked.

"I'll have the kip mango salade." She said in Dutch. I️ did not know that she could speak another language.

"I'll have the pulled pork with BBQ sauce Pita." I️ said from the English translation. I️ didn't wanna embarrass myself and butcher the pronunciation.

"I'll have those right out for you." She said as she bounced away.

"So what'd you order?" I️ laughed nervously. I️ didn't understand a word she said when she ordered.

"It's basically just a chicken mango salad." She laughed, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear.

Now is the hard part of every date, waiting for the food to come.

*ALI'S POV*

Waiting for the food to come during a date is always the nerve racking part. Cause you have to start conversation.

"How was your morning?" I️ asked.

"Eh, the guys wouldn't stop nagging me about the whole roof thing last night." He chuckled nervously.

"Same thing here," both of us were extremely nervous right now. It wasn't like this last night; last night I️ felt like we had known each other for years.

"So you guys just travel around in an RV?" I️ asked him. It seems kind of difficult fitting four guys into a small RV.

"Most times, sometimes we stay at hotels though which is nice. Staying in the RV for days gets so annoying so sometimes we just need a day or so away from it." He explained. I️ nodded, understanding him completely.

We continued to ask each other things back and forth, quick questions about each other. I've only known him for not even an entire day and I️ pretty much know everything about him.

Finally, our food came. I️ have to admit, his looked pretty good. But I get the chicken mango salad every time I️ come here, it's like a little tradition for me.

The both of us stuffed our faces with the delicious food.

"Mmmm now I️ understand why you like to come to this place." He smiled, talking while stuffing his face. I️ giggled, he's so goddamn cute.

After we finished eating, we just sat and talked for what felt like hours. Talking to him is so easy once we've warmed up.

"Let me pay." He insisted. We've been fighting back and forth about who will pay.

"Noo, I️ picked the place so I️ should pay." I️ giggled. I️ finally allowed him to pay since he wouldn't give up.

"So what do you wanna do now?" He asked.

"I️ have a couple of penny boards in the trunk of my car. If you know how to skate we can go downtown and I️ can show you around." I️ suggested.

"Sounds good." He smiled. Uugh that smile. It's just so.....perfect. Hell, everything about him is perfect.

We quickly paid the bill and headed back to my car to get the boards.

*COLBY'S POV*

We just finished up lunch and now we're heading back to her car to grab some penny boards.

She took a mint one with purple wheels and she handed me a black one with red wheels.

"It's Kara's but she won't mind." She chuckled. We both hopped on the boards and began to skate down the sidewalk.

"Just follow me, downtown can get a little crowded around this time." She said as she skated a bit ahead of me.

Can she get any more perfect? I️ watched her, her hair blowing behind her as she swerved from left to right through the busy street.

"Its amazing here." I️ said as I️ caught up to her.

"Yea, reason why I️ stayed here when my family moved to Germany." She smiled.

People watched us as we raced by them, swerving in between them. She's a pretty good skater, probably better than me.

Before I️ knew it, it was almost past 6 already. The sun was slowly going down behind the busy streets.

"I️ guess you can say time flies by them you're having fun." I️ said, smiling. I️ swear, I️ never stop smiling when I'm with her.

We both got off of the boards and began to walk to her car.

"Yea, I️ had a lot of fun. Thank you." She said.

"No need to thank me. I️ know I'm awesome." I️ said sarcastically, earning a laugh from her.

We got in the car as she started it up. I️ pulled my phone out of my pocket to see a ton of texts from the guys.

Sam: hey dude, we're gonna go for pizza and bowling at 7. u in?

Sam: duuude? where the hell r u?

Uncle Elton: hey dude, pizza and bowling at 7

Sam: how come ur not answering anyone? U alright

Corey: where the hell r u?

"Shit, I️ gotta call the guys real quick. They texted me before and they're freaking out cause I️ didn't answer." I️ chuckled nervously before calling Sam.

"Dude! Where the hell are you! Are you okay? We just got back to the RV and you aren't here." Sam freaked out.

"Hey to you too, I'm fine. I️ went out to grab lunch with Ali and time got away from us." I️ explained.

"So you were on a date?" Sam said, I️ could hear the smirk in his voice.

"I️ guess you could say that." I️ said, smiling at the fact that I️ was indeed on a date.

"Guys! He was on a date with the hot chick from last night!" Sam yelled to the guys. I️ heard them all whistling and yelling in the background.

"I'll be back at the RV in a few." I️ said before hanging up. I️ looked over to Ali to see her smiling.
