CHAPTER 11, TEAM UP GONE WRONG
"So much for letting this go." Veronica muttered, scoffing at Betty as Lauren and the former girl follow the blonde who was looking around in nervousness.
Betty had decided she was most certainly not over the 'Grundy Mission', as Lauren liked to call it, and the brunette was not surprised at all. In fact she was so sure Betty would do something like that despite her saying she wouldn't.
Lauren and Veronica share a look as Betty pulls out a tool to unlock the teachers car.
"Are we really breaking into Grundy's car?" Veronica questioned, horrified at Betty's tactics.
Lauren nodded at the girl. "Yeah, Betty as much as I hate Grundy and Archie's 'romance' I don't think this will get Archie to believe you."
"How do you even know how to do that?" Veronica asked, staring at the blonde in awe.
The said blonde laughs at the girls confusion and clueless expression. "My dad and I fix cars together. Thanks god, she drives and old.." Betty trails off as the door to Grundy's car opens and she gives the two girls a proud smile before sliding in as Lauren and Veronica get in from the other side, Betty unlocking the door.
"Okay," Veronica starts. "Before going any further, if I'm committing a felony, I need to at least ask the question. Are you doing this because you still have feelings fro Archie, or..."
"No, Veronica," Betty interrupts, looking at the girl who's eyes were widened. "We're doing this because Grundy has Archie under this sexual spell, and he wont listen to reason. We're looking for anything that proves Grundy isn't as clean she says she is."
Looking around the very small car, Lauren looks at the back, where she sees a silver metal box and pulls it and hands it over to Betty. Silently thanking her, Betty inspects it before asking Veronica fro a bobby pin.'
"Okay, Ms. Gyver." Veronica scoffs, taking a bobby pin out of her hair.
Poking the pin in the lock, it opens and once again Betty smiles proudly. "I learnt that from the Nancy Drew, detective handbook."
Lauren rolls her eyes. "Okay, go."
Betty pulls out an I.D card and examines it her eyes widening. "Oh my god."
Lauren grabs the card from her hand and looks at it letting a gasp out as she reads the name. "Jennifer Gibson?"
"Who the hell is Jennifer Gibson?" Veronica quips as she stares at the card with Lauren.
"That's not it..." Betty tells them, staring at the box as Lauren and Veronica turn their attention to her. Betty pulls out a gun from the box as the two girls exhale and gasps now staring at the gun before sharing a glance with the other two girls.
