~ Zara's POV
Jane took me back to where I left my bike, but with the ceremony in less that 3 hours we had to rush, so I managed to persuade Jane to get on the bike.
"I still don't know about this. Are you sure it's safe?" Her voice trembled, and I quietly chuckled to my self.
"Don't worry! Just let me send this text..."
Hey! Kaelynn, I'm so so so sorry I haven't replied some complications came up and I promise I'm fine and I will call you tonight!
-Z;)
"Andddddddddd... sent, let's get going!" I squealed excited to be reunited with my bike once again.~ 2 hours until ceremony
"ZARA!!!" Jane screamed deafening anyone in close proximity. "You are wearing this dress and that's final!" Jane had this obsession with me wearing a dress which I was fine with until it turned out to be a neon pink one, making me stand out like a sore thumb. In other words no I'm not wearing it. We had already decided the shoes I was going to get in the last shop, when I was 'dragged' around the ginormous shoe shop, we finally found a pair heels.
"Jane I appreciate you helping me find a dress and even paying for the dress, which I will pay you back for, but I just don't think that neon pink is my colour." She had taken me to the mall (or I had taken her on my motorbike and she directed me) to very very very quickly find a dress, then go to a salon to get my hair and make-up done in under an hour somehow. Which was really impressive.
Jane let out a long sigh and ran of somewhere else to find a probably even more ridiculous dress. I however, slowly walked down a dress isle looking at each dress very thoroughly as if I was following something. And then I saw it. A dress that stood out among the others like it was calling me.
Carefully, I picked it up and speed walked into the changing room to try it on.
I walked towards a mirror and looked into it. The dress was breath taking it was simple but elegant, flowing but figure hugging, but most of all it was like me, badass.
(A/N: These are a few examples of what I thought the dress and shoes could be but it can be anything you want really;) )
"That's the one!!! That's it we are done now go let's go pay and go to the salon." She said with complete admiration. But I was too awestruck to look away. "Zara?"
"I-I look like her." I whispered.
"Like who?"
"My... my mum." The word slipped out my mouth bring a tear to my eye at the memory. I'll be with you soon mummy.
Zara don't say that.
I just ignored Zoë and went back to looking at the mirror. To be honest I never spent much time looking in the mirror but now that I am I can see the resemblance between me and my mother. My mother was a very beautiful women, well from what I can remember.
"Zara..." Jane touched my shoulder from behind scaring me half to death. "I hate to do this and you do look really beautiful but we do have to go." I simply nodded wiping away a stray tear and headed towards the counter.
Since we had such little time when we got to the till we asked them if I could keep the dress on and just take the tag of to scan, as we were on a tight schedule. Thankfully, they agreed and Jane paid then hauled me to the salon.
~40 minutes at the salon later
Finally, the cosmetologists finished with my hair an make-up (in record time i might add) the lady spun me around in the chair so i cold once again see my relection. She had done a golden smokey eye with a nude pink matte lipstick.
Whilst she had done this another lady had done my hair with loose curls and a half up braid.
I looked stunning! Me and Jane graciously said thanks and were out the door as soon as possible... but there was one thing we both forgot about... one that would cause a bit of a problem...
"Ummmmmm... Jane how are we getting back?" she stopped dead in her tracks and slowly turned to me.
"Ohhhhh crap."
