IMPERFECTION (AN INTERCULTURAL LOVE STORY )

Preparation

The next day, we were not doing anything in particular, we just stayed inside Salamat's room talking about how the wedding is going to be.

Salamat's phone vibrated. She picked up the phone and was typing away. I saw how she was smiling. I'm sure its Aazim she's talking to.They're just so in love

"Anu get dressed we're going somewhere" she said and stood up. Went to her closet and started checking out cloths

"First of all,i'm dressed already and where are we going?"

"You can't wear that . Find something better and we're going to Maitama" she said still checking out clothes to wear

"What's happening in Maitama "

"Don't worry, I'll tell you when we get to the car. Just get dressed"

I went to my bag and picked out something to wear. I wore my Black jeans and Blue &white strip shirt with gold sandals . There's a saying that goes 'if you're in Rome, you act like a Roman'. i'm in a very religious home, so I tied a scarf on my head.

Salamat was wearing a red and white gown with black scarf. We decided to go make up free.

We took umma's car,Salamat drove "babes tell me where we dey go”  I asked in pidgin English w

"Aazim asked us to come. He's with Muhammed" she informed

"Ehn ok na"

Muhammed is a friend of ours. I'm a very good friend of Aazim but Muhammed and I are very close. I did not even know he was friends with Aazim until Salamat and Aazim started dating.

We went to a restaurant in Maitama. I can't even remember the name of the restaurant again. We went in and saw Aazim and few of his friends including Muhammad

"Wassup ma niggas" I said as we approached them. They turned to us and began smiling especially Aazim when he saw his fiancee

"Hey Anu wassup " Muhammed greeted trying to shake me. I slapped his hand away

"What sort of greeting is that, c'mon come and give mummy a hug" He chucked and stood up to hug me. We hugged briefly

I went to Aazim also. I hugged him side ways "Groom of the year"

"Whatsup Anu"

"Nothing much, just there planning your wedding" he smiled and looked at his fiance  "don't let me keep you from your boo, go and meet her so you guys can do the you know" I winked jokingly.  Everyone knows me to be this cool and funny person. 

"Wallahi you can never change"he laughed

"That's me for you o" he walked over to Salamat and they excused themselves. I don't know the other guys here so  I just greeted them hi.

"Anu meet Idris, Abdul, Fawaz and   Khalifa" Muhammed said

"Hi Guys, i'm Anu " I shook their hands one by one

Aazim and Salamat came back and sat with us. We just stayed chilled and talk about Stuffs

"Anu, I know you're Yoruba but are you a Muslim or a Christian?" Khalifa spoke

Holy Moses. I did not notice this guy before o. he's so handsome. He's light  skinnes with a neatly shaved beards. His hair not too full but moderate and neatly combed. And he has the cutest pink lips. He's the defination of
handsome. I used to think Muhammed was handsome but chai. He be baby beside this dude
