Once we get off the plane and we're headed home I turn on my phone and see that I have 30 missed calls from Zoe "Joey do you know what she wants?" I sigh and he shakes his head no and continues his conversation with Daniel and a call from Tyler comes through and I answer it "whats up" "dude pick up the phone and call Zoe this is really important to her" "do you know what she wants" "yes, but she wants to tell you herself" after that i hang up on Tyler and call her back "hey" I say and I can hear blaring music and a yelling Alfie in the background "we're moving to LA" "seriously???" "Yeah, I was hoping we could put our fight behind us and be buds again?" "Yeah, we can try" "thanks lil" "mhm" and then she hangs up and I see a text from Connor *did she tell you???* *Yeah* *are you excited* *yeah* "are you going back to school this fall or are we going to homeschool?" Daniel asks as we're chilling on the couch later on "I don't know, I might go back to school" *what are you doing about senior year?* I text Connor and he reads it but doesn't reply so I just kind of set my phone down and start up a conversation with Daniel until a FaceTime call from Connor comes through "what the heck lilly" "what?" I ask and Daniel just stares at the ground "Connor I don't know what's going on but it's probably fake judging by the way Daniel looks so guilty" "so you don't have a secret girlfriend back where we just came from who was thrown in jail" "no Connor we didn't date, just hung out. She wasn't even a good person she for me into stuff I didn't need to be into, I promise there was nothing there" "let me see Daniel" Connor says and I hand my phone to Daniel and they might for a while then Connor ends the call and Daniel walks off with my phone "Daniel my phone?" I say and he turns toward me "when you can be respectful and not do things that are going to hurt you, you can have it back. But until then it's mine" he says and then walks upstairs and locks himself in his room. I want to tell Joey what just happened but I can't because he went to visit Mary's mom and left me here alone with Daniel and I end up going to my room and pulling out my laptop *daniel took my phone* I say to Connor over IM *seriously?* *Yeah* *where's Joey?* *He went to to see a friend* *ugh* *can you see if troye will come get me? He doesn't check IM* *yeah one sec* *he's on his way* *thanks* *no problem* *he's there* *okay talk to you later* I quickly type them put my laptop under my bed and yell out that I'm leaving to Daniel "just go" I say to troye when Daniel walks out and stares troye down "he's being a dick and I don't want to be here please just go" I say again and Daniel walks over to my window and troye puts it down "what the hell lilly" "Daniel you're being a douche and i just don't want to deal with it" "so you're going to run away rather then try to talk to me about it" "YOU KEEP TAKING AWAY MY HAPPINESS EVERYTIME I FIND IT" I say through tears and he just rolls his eyes "you aren't happy lilly, and you won't be until you find yourself" "well maybe if you'd let me make mistakes and find myself or.whatever I could be happy" "lilly you're running away from your problems again" "no I'm not Daniel, I really like him and he likes me too" "you're also killing friendships" "how even????" "Lilly you're toxic, and when you inevitably break up with him you're going to drive Connor away" he says and I just sit there and stare at my arms and think about the past couple weeks aybe you're right" I whisper and troye looks over at me in disbelief "what do you mean maybe he's right???" Troye shrieks "all I do it drive people away" I say as a single tear falls down my cheek "I'm toxic" "that's it" troye says and drives off calling Joey and trying to talk me out of this new mindset
