We drive back in silence and barely make it to class before the bell rings "thank God he isn't in this one" Connor says and I just kind of stare at the desk "hey don't let him get to you" Connor says and I just nod "babe" he says and I smile and look up at him "I'm okay it's fine" I say and his face is set to a look of pity "Connor I promise I'm fine" I say again and he just stares at me "stop looking at me like that" I say tears coming to my eyes "I'm not a fan of him" Connor says seeming super upset "hon it's fine I'm fine we're all fine" I say and Connor hugs me and then class starts.
The rest of the day just kind of flies by, and before I know it I'm back home and alone for the first time in a while. Connor had stayed over for a bit but we decided it's best if he goes so Daniel doesn't make the day any worse than it already was. "we're back" Joey calls out and I just sit on the couch pretending to be invested in whatever is on "since when do you watch the cooking channel?" Joey asks laughing and sits down next to me "I dunno it was the first thing to come on" I reply as Daniel walks around the house trying to find any evidence of me bringing anyone else around "so you came straight home alone?" He asks me finally sitting down. "yes Daniel I came straight home alone, I have history homework I'll see you guys later" I say annoyed and grab my bag and go upstairs already hearing Joey arguing with Daniel over what he just said *want to come over for dinner and then work on our homework together* Connor texts me "Joey can I go over to Tyler's" I ask and he just nods and tosses me my keys since they took my car and filled it up with gas earlier "thanks" I say and slip out the front door trying not to get Daniels attention only to find him about to walk in the front door "oh hey" he says and I just smile at him then walk to my car "where ya goin" "Tyler's" I reply putting my backpack in the passengers seat "why's that" "he wanted to talk to me about something" "why didn't he just call you" "because he said he'd rather do it in person" "mhm sure, don't get pregnant" daniel says and I just stare at him "first of all, I never had the intent to, second of all, why would I bring a child anywhere near this household with you in it" I practically shout and then get in my car and drive off leaving Daniel standing there bewildered
"Hey babe" Connor says hugging me when I get there "hey" I say pulling a fake smile "troye made food and then burnt it so him and Tyler left to go get real food" I laugh and ignore my vibrating phone knowing it's probably Daniel or Dan "want to get started on the history paper?" I ask "yeah, sure thing" he says and we sit at the table and joke around and work on the paper until Tyler and troye get back "that's definitely not how that happened" I say to Connor laughing because of what he said about one of the presidents "except it is" "prove it" "okay give me your phone, mines upstairs" I slide my phone over to him and his face kind of has a funny look on it "what?" I ask grabbing the phone from him and seeing the messages on it from Daniel "just ignore those it's fine" I say and swipe them away and hand him the phone again. Troye and Tyler exchange a look and I sit there awkwardly "boom" cannot says sliding me the phone and I roll my eyes "Con this is Wikipedia, George Washington did not play Pokemon" I say laughing and he just stares at me with a goofy smile on his face "I know, your smile is just cute" he says and I feel my cheeks turn bright red. Connor and Tyler exchange a look and I see that Joey is calling me so I step out of the room "Daniel didn't mean any of that" he says quickly "Connor had my phone when those came through" I say softly and Joey sighs "can you put him on" "con Joey wants to talk to you" they have a long conversation and then Connor hands me my phone back after Joey hanging up "he's bringing your stuff, he doesn't want you there for now" "Tyler can we talk?" Connor says and Tyler and Connor walk into another room and troye walks over and hugs me and I just sit there in a daze "what is happening" I finally say and begin to son into troyes shoulder "it's gonna be okay" he says softly
