Guys I don't want to ask anything of you but I'm asking for your support. My story is getting not much reads or recognition. If you believe it's good and it deserves to be read by other people, please take the time and effort to tell other people and to help me get somewhere. I would really appreciate that.
Borrowing is a better term since she'd return it as soon as she'd finish it. But that didn't sound like a proper defense when one day one of the hateful nurses found her stash of books under her bed.
"you're not authorized to use any of these" she says, a scornful look on her face "these are for the doctors and you're barely a nurse yet"
"I didn't mean anything by it" she says "I just wanted to lear-"
"wait until our head hears about this!"
"Caroline wait!" tries Bell but to no use. Caroline is already out the door. Bell follows her.
"I'll put them back" she says "I won't touch them again"
Bell isn't sure she's exactly truthful but she's panicking and she's afraid. She doesn't like trouble and she certainly doesn't like being chastised like a child.
"Caroline!"
"What's going on!?"
They run straight into the head, much to Caroline's delight.
"She's been stealing books" Caroline blurts out, a huge grin on her face.
The head looks past Caroline to Bluebell with an expressionless stare. Bluebell lets out a dejected sigh.
"Is it true?" she asks
Bell doesn't answer.
"It is" says Caroline "I've seen it"
the head looks at Bluebell and she says "I'm sorry"
the head takes in a sharp breath.
"I was going to put it back" she defends "I just wanted to learn somethin-"
"you think you know it all?"
"I'm not a nurse, I'm a docto-"
"says who?" she asks "what institute did you learn?"
"I was home taught-"
a couple of nurses laugh loudly. Bell feels herself become smaller.
