KENZIE'S POINT OF VIEW
•••

"i'm late," i screeched, realising the had slept it. i skipped a shower, since i had washed my hair just last night, and hurriedly got dressed.

i had to skip breakfast to reach the limo, and maddie laughed when i ran in. "look who awoke," she smirked. i rolled my eyes, annoyed that she hadn't woken me up. dorota was on leave, and my whole routine had been chaotic.

soon enough, we reached school, and i sighed, realising i'd actually miss this hell house. it was my second last day here, and i still hadn't managed to tell johnny about my move.

i had tried, but each time i spoke to him, avery pulled him away, so i didn't get a chance. it anyway wasn't like johnny had tried to come back and continue the conversation. he was always with her, but i guess it figures, seeing as they'd begun dating.

i walked to my locker, and as usual, annie and lauren were waiting there. lauren was texting someone, probably carson, and annie was just bouncing up and down on her toes, with an excited look on her face.

"guess what just happened!" annie squealed. "what?" i asked, curiously. "hayden. summerall. asked me out!" annie finished. my dropped open. "when!" i asked her, excited for my best friend.

"yesterday, after school," annie replied. "wait woah! i've been standing here for so long, and you didn't think to tell me?" lauren jokingly gave amy a pointed glance.

"i just wanted to tell y'all together!" annie smiled. "i'm guessing you said yes?" lauren questioned. "oh of course i did!

"i'm so happy for you!" lauren and i squealed in sync, while annie just turned red.

"who are you happy for?" i turned to see the voice i had grown to hate. "brandon," i growled. "kenzie, can i talk to you?" he asked me. "you are talking to me." "privately," he pleaded.

"whatever you want to say to me, you can say in front of my friends," i obstinately replied.

"i just wanted to apologise. i didn't mean to cheat on you, and uh...i was just wondering if we could still be friends.." he stuttered. i almost smiled at his nervousness. "i would like that, but hey, it might take a while," i admitted. "i understand, but thanks anyway, kenz," he nodded towards lauren and annie, before walking off.

"brenzie," lauren and annie lamely grinned. i glared at them. "yeah yeah, don't worry. we were kidding," annie smirked.

"jenzie's the real ship. it's just on..uh..vacation. and anyway, it's not called the titanic, so don't worry about it sinking," lauren rambled, and annie and i burst out laughing at her dumbness.

deep down, i sighed, wishing she was right. "to be honest, it's already sunk," i said quietly, so no one else would hear me.

the bell rang, so the three of us got our books, and headed to our first lesson of the day.

i looked around. this was my last chance to tell johnny about my move. i found the find him anywhere, but by now, i was desperate. i had refused to allow lauren to tell him.

my genius mind had come to the conclusion that if he didn't have time for me, he didn't deserve to know, and he probably wouldn't notice.

i had even tried going to his house, but he was literally never there, and i didn't exactly want to seem like a despo ex fake girlfriend.

finally i gave up, and sighing, got inside the limo, where maddie was already seated. "what's wrong, kenz?" she asked me. i just shook my head, and silently stared out of the window for the rest of the journey home.

the moment we got home, i ran up to my and was about to flop onto my bed, until i realised it was it there. it had been shipped to australia.

let's hope that ship doesn't sink. well, come to think of it, maybe i wouldn't mind, as long as no one got hurt.
