"He should be in our class, or at least a hero course" He said and I looked up when I noticed the boys walking out to the stadium. I leaned forward and was silently thankful that everyone was being fairly silent as opposed to the other contests that had happened. Now I finally had a chance to listen in on what was being said down in the arena...
"So you can just give up huh? In a way this is a test of how strong your spirit is. If you know what you want your future to hold for you, you can't worry about what other people think.. That monkey was going on about his pride earlier-" Shinso started and I leaned a bit closer
"Begin!" Hizashi screeched and I flinched, my ears being particularly sensitive to nearby sounds when I had just been listening to something so far away.
"But I just think he's an idiot for throwing away his chance like that" Shinso finished. I knew immediately he had got Midoriya, I mean how could Midoriya not respond to that.. It's like asking Bakugou to be silent when someone bumps into him
"Don't you talk about him that way you hear me?!" Midoriya yelled running forward. By the last word he was frozen in place and I let out a little breath
"That's it, I win" Shinso murmured
"Hey hey, what's the dealio, this is the first match it should start out with a bang. The fight has just begun and Izuku Midoriya is completely frozen.. And what's with that look on his face? Could this be a quirk at work?" Hizashi yelled
"He didn't stand out the first rounds at all but its possible Shino's crazzzy powerful. Who could have imagined this turn of events thats the festival for you!" He yelled, letting out a laugh as he animatedly spoke
"This is a perfect example of why the entrance exam isn't rational." Aizawa said and I glanced over at him
"Why's that?" Hizashi asked
"I got some information on the competitors, Shinso failed the practical exam to get into the hero course. Since he also applied for general studies he probably figured that would happen... his quirk is incredibly strong but that entrance test consisted of fighting faux villains, robots, it gave a huge advantage to those who had physical superpowers they could show off. Despite his ability, Shinso never stood a chance at passing" Aizawa murmured
"So here we are, your lucky to have been so blessed Izuku Midoriya, now turn around and walk out of bounds like a good little hero" Shinso said and as ordered Midoriya turned around and started walking out.
"Jeez that so incredible" I murmured absently as Midoriya got closer to the boundary.
"Even with a quirk like this I have my own dreams of becoming a hero, so lose for me" Shinso said. Just when his foot raised to step out of bounds there was a large blast from Midoriya and I let out a little breath I didn't realize I was holding.
"He broke his fingers to break Shinso's hold" I said looking down at the purple digits on Midoriya's left hand.
"Your not supposed to be able to fight back. What did you do!" Shinso called and while the words seemed like a child having a tantrum the way he said them was different, he was luring Midoriya so he would say something. This kid knew his quirk inside and out and he knew how to get people to talk. Midoriya covered his mouth to stop himself and I found myself a bit unsure who I wanted to cheer for. I wanted to cheer for Midoriya because he was my student but Shinso had a power that could save lives so easily but was shot down and sent into general studies.. A win right now would seriously help him to become a hero
