The Bet

I was so happy to find you,
Thinking someones there to hold my pallid face.
I was looking for an angel,
While there has been just a demon inside.
I lay my soul to flowers,
While they were just thrown to cut it half.
I gave you my life,
I would have twice,
If you gave me a reason to fit.
You told me I was nothing just a bet,
Need I remind you,
You promised me your heart.
The bracelet we made together,
The shoes we matched,
The glimpse we caught.
Try to think again,
Maybe remember for good this time,
Take a break and let your ego aside,
Let me know,
If I was only a bet.
I won't say a word,
So what if it means losing my heart.
Times flies past,
Good time never holds forever.
The storms are starting,
Just give it a thought again.
For once I leave,
There is nothing for me to come back.
The guilt,
The pain,
The regret,
Will only be left in your eyes.
For this time I turn,
I won't look back.
The memory I will hold for you is,
I was just a bet.
