Wishes

40 4 2

I have a word with you,
Everything here is screaming for your arms.
Yet these endless nights,
Wishing for the moon,
Wishing to fall in love all over again.
So many stories left unsaid,
So many thoughts left unread,
So many moments still left to be loved.
I wish I could change the time,
Take us just a year back,
Where all the hell broke loose.
I want to hold your hand,
Still identify the promises under one roof,
Still want to lay on your chest when there is thunder outside,
All these are among my wishes,
But this is a modern story,
A fairy tale without a happy ending,
These wishes are not meant to be true.
This is the last glance of my hope,
For once I get up and move,
Cry to the rivers if you like,
But you won't see me around.
And for the moment you decide,
That this is it,
The time is up,
Let me know,
So that I stop praying for the wishes, Those have no existence at all.
