Wish

 Love to the shadows of you,
The only thing I have is these memories of you.
A long wait was involved,
The path we crossed brings me to the heaven of your thoughts.
I wish I would have waited,
Wish you could have been quicker.
It's been a year,
Have you moved on?
I see the pictures of her,
The blonde hair and the green eyes,
She is beautiful to a goddess,
You deserve her love.
The selfish part of me cries,
I mean no harm, but can you retreat back.
Not that I didn't try,
He dropped me off yesterday,
Saying I was broken into core.
How did you ignore my flaws?
The cuts that process the pieces,
Why didn't they bother you?

Wish I could have painted a picture before,
Pushing away and away,
I pushed a little deeper to my heel.
I had you for a long time,
Why did I think you were just someone.
My regrets don't matter now,
You sing her to sleep now.
The stars listen to me,
I wish everyday for just a life with you.
