Mistake

You were my best mistake,
My love for you took me to the shore.
I was weaving a soul,
Which has stored enough.
My eyes seem to be blinded by love,
For the soul which is cold as stone.
I loved you beyond limits,
Even my dreams remember you.
I need to move on,
I regret nothing though.
Maybe you were a mistake,
Your lessons are safe in my soul.
I take a step forward,
And a thousand back along.
You made me who I am,
A shattered hole.
I am counting the temporary zings,
The lies and the permanent stings.
Maybe you were my first everything,
I was your nothing at all.
Maybe the best,
But It hurts knowing,
You were my mistake after all.
