Ring

41 15 3

Fall down from the warmth,
Move to the side,
Where all it seems to burn.
You didn't think once,
Removing the ring walked down the stage.
The curses, glances and hate,
You did promise me a lifetime of happiness.
Sobbing in front of hundreds,
I fell on my knees,
Looking at you calling your name,
Not once did you turn back.
The flowers that were in my hand,
Are mocking me,
Asking me again and again,
Why did you trust him?
How to tell them and the people around,
Never even once,
I would have asked the reason,
If you would have told me,
Everything before turning your back.
I am standing naked,
Filled with shame and hurt,
Every second that we spent,
Pinching, like thousands of needles at once,
You filled my empty holes,
Making me fall in love with something,
As dark as your heart.
Giving me even a darker cave,
You walked out like this never mattered.
It hurts to know,
When you give your life to someone,
Only to be crushed, broken and used again.
