EXTENDEDSUMMARY: Everyone at school knows Steve Harrington has amazing hair. The problem is, everyone at school knows Silas Murphy also has amazing hair. The pair have hated each other since the moment they laid eyes on one another's carefully done locks, and did not think that would change until the night that Silas stumbled into something way bigger than he or Steve's hair.
NOTES:
- Silas' family owns the sole gas station in Hawkins as well as the junkyard. They're pretty decently well off because of this but don't act like it. Silas works at the gas station but occasionally likes to mess around at the junk yard, which is how he gets dragged into the secret
- Basically he hears weird noises out back and decides to investigate and ends up helping Steve beat the heck out of the demodogs
- Before the junkyard scene in 2x06 they don't interact much, but this draws him into the whole mess and he ends up going back to Will's house with them and getting added into the monster hunting crew
- His weapon of choice is a tire iron he grabbed from the main building of the junk yard before going out to investigate the weird noises out back
- Silas is bisexual but he's mostly had relationships with girls because 1983 Indiana isn't so kind to those who aren't straight. He's had very short flings with boys but most people think that that's only a rumor
- He and his family are pretty religious ( Catholic ) so the whole idea of "Catholic Guilt" plays into why he also doesn't go for guys, and is the thing that keeps him from Steve for as long as it does. If the Church wasn't so against lgbtq+ people at this time he'd be a much more open bi person
- His parents are sort of strict but they love him and his many siblings. He's one of six or so
- He and Steve don't really get together until after the Snow Ball ( much to the delight of the kids ) but it's kind of obvious that they will before that, and afterward they keep it on the down low
- He more or less takes Max under his wing as his "little sister" since Billy is The Worst
