Garden

And on your bad days.
When the distance from your bed to your shower seems a bit too much to handle.
When the light switch becomes 200 pounds of dead weight you cannot bring yourself to lift.
When you can't put your feet on the floor in fear of them getting cold.
When you can't hardly reach the tendrils of smoke inside your head warning you to get up and evacuate from the home that is yourself:

Breathe.
For these moments will not last forever.
You will be able to run marathons around your instability like you birthed it and you can sure as hell take it out. Someday.
And although someday may not be today or any day in the future, there is hope in some that you must start looking for.
Begging for.
Let "some" be the water that washes your hands clean of the blood you once thought you needed to spill.
Breathe.
On days when this feels impossible, remind yourself that there are plenty of things that could make the air physically fall out of your body, and your own mind only has the hold of the parts of you you let it.
The garden with which you allow weeds to suffocate will never be able to grow: how beautiful those flowers could be.
Breathe.

You will be okay.

You will be okay.

You will be okay.
