I remember the first time I ever saw you.
Your calm face, suddenly ignited with happiness as you ran into that classroom.
I had only been a freshman for a few days,
But you,
You walked in and made me feel like I was ageless,
timeless,
infinite.
You sat down in your seat, checking your phone,
and then you raised your head and for the first Time and likeness came to likeness: green to green.
We were equal.
You smiled, almost like you knew it.
I didn't even know your name,
But I somehow knew that someday,
You'd walk on the surface of my heart.
