Third Person POV
*****
Shisui was standing in his usual spot, monitoring the exams. The green haired genin from Amegakure—Rin as she was called, was up first. He felt a twinge if pride despite himself when he saw her throwing her shuriken with far more accuracy than she had in the woods. However, when the genin from Kumogakure threw down her kunai and blue fire ate up the arena, Shisui was too busy as it was trying to evacuate everyone to a safe place. When he shunshinned back, he saw the Nibi emerge with frightening aura, as its jinchurikki raised hundreds of weapons to throw at the other two genin of Amegakure. Shisui prepared to shunshin, but what he saw made him freeze.

The green haired girl was already there, her body moving and her hand clenching a kunai.

She deflected each one of them.

The speed was too intense, too accurate, too masterful, yet she accomplished it. Shisui felt his heart skip a beat when he saw her turn to her teammates. Her eyes.

Sharingan.

He heard the gasp of the Konoha Leaf Police member beside him. He wasn't the only one who saw it. His mind raced. How did she have the Sharingan? She looked far from an Uchiha....did....did she steal them? No, she used them too efficiently for them to not be her's.

Shisui watched the Nibi roar in fury before spitting flames, which she dodged and that was when Shisui felt the spike in chakra coming from her. The same one he felt in the forest. But debris fell from the wreckage and he had to move swiftly, pulling people from the falling rocks.

In that instant, the girl turned the other way, swiftly speeding away from the people in the arena and leaping over the high wall, leading the roaring Nibi away from Konoha.

Rin knew she screwed up. She screwed up majorly and a part of her was shaking horribly but she just couldn't let her friends die. She couldn't bear another death to her conscience—she couldn't feel the same helplessness she felt when the others died around her in the war.

Knowing that she had the Nibi's attention, Rin led it in pursuit of her, away from Konoha and the screaming people and wreckage. Mizuchi's chakra pumped out steadily as Rin led it into a cleared space from the forest. The Nibi spit out fireballs as Rin felt the searing heat and summoned her water jutsu, the water dragons hissing as they met the vaporizing fire.

Rin could see the attacks clearly with her Sharingan, the latter helping her survive multiple times. She remembered Obito's warning. She was a half-blooded Uchiha—that meant she couldn't use the Sharingan to its full extent, which also meant that she wasted a lot of chakra. Rin dodged another swipe of the paws, the claws catching her clothes and the chakra searing her skin as Rin cried out in pain—the feeling excruciating as she flew backwards, smashing into a tree. Her vision swam but she recovered enough to attempt another water jutsu.

"Suiton: Raging Waves!" A huge stream of water was pummeled out with Mizuchi's water based chakra, stalling the beast for a moment but not before it growled at her and pounced. Rin winced, feeling her arm sear from the Nibi's chakra attack.

"Mizuchi—" she called upon him, swallowing with difficulty, "I need you to take over."

"Rin!" Mizuchi shouted, his voice filled with concern, "if I transform to my full state, I can kill you! Your body can't bear my full chakra—-"

"Just do it!" Rin cried to him, "I just need some time!"

Mizuchi felt his own heart seize for a moment but he heard the desperation in her words. He closed his eyes, before his blue chakra wrapped around Rin's body and like the Nibi jinchurriki, the energy outline of the water dragon became visible, holding Rin in the center. The Nibi growled for a moment, seizing its opponent. Mizuchi lunged, his jaws closing around the cat's tail, the Nibi howling before swatting its paw down on the dragon's head who roared before shooting a stream of powerful water into the Nibi's open maw. The two exchanged powerful blows, but the Nibi was pure chakra, while Mizuchi was not. "Whatever you're doing, Rin, hurry!" He hissed before he felt intense pain rip through his scales as the Nibi bit his shoulder.

Rin felt pain hit every single part of her body but she forced her Mangekyou to unlock. With what little chakra she had left, she recollected how Obito controlled the Tailed Beasts in the war and what he had taught her. Searing pain hit her eyes as Rin used her dojutsu to delve into the mind of the jinchurriki who was screaming in pain as the Nibi's chakra ravaged her body. Delving into her core, Rin saw the Two Tails and forcing her chakra, she performed the jutsu, sealing away and dispersing the power of the Tailed Beast. The kunoichi from Kumogakure screamed as Rin took control—Rin also feeling her body ache in agony before she panted to a wounded Mizuchi, "Mizu....please—"

Mizuchi summoned what was left and gathering his chakra, unleashed it all in one fatal swoop as the weakened Nibi vaporized, its host no longer powerful enough to sustain it. Rin hit the ground, falling, as Mizuchi disappeared—his groans of pain fading to an eerie silence.

Rin raised her head weakly, feeling multiple injuries and blood pooling the ground as she looked at the kunoichi, who was lying across from her, unconscious. Mizuchi was silent. Rin touched her seal. She could feel his injuries, his wounded and weakened state.

But blackness slowly crawled along her vision as Rin's eyes closed with a finality before her head slumped against the grass—the ground soaked with both water and blood.

Dizzying darkness consumed her.
