Jane's POV

My head hurts so much and the room spins like a nightmare version of merry-go-round that I can't escape.

I can't see clearly but I know for sure that the figure above me right now is Sullivan. I try to push him away but my whole body aches and feel heavy.

The hit from Sullivan makes me black out for a couple of seconds. I heard someone shouted from far and also the sound of slamming doors. The last thing I heard was Sullivan muttered a "Shit" before my eyes were closed.

When I gain my conscious back, I saw a body was laying on the ground. I heard a grunt from another figure and the sound of their footsteps echoing in the room as he walk slowly towards me.

I got up to run, this sudden stranger seemed to be stronger than both Sullivan and his man combined. My eyes were still a bit blurry so I can't see the figure clearly.

I had just gotten to my feet when the man's hand wrapped around me and I was pulled into his chest.

Getting scared again, I scream while hitting whatever part of him that I could.

"Shh shh... Jane, it's okay. Baby, it's me. It's me, William." He said softly while stroking my hair.

I looked up, making sure it was really him before my legs gave out. William quickly caught me, helping me sit down on the bed and once again he wrapped his arms around me.

My whole body was shaking when I said, "William, I'm sorry. I should have told to you, I-I should... I-I'm sorry. I didn't know he S-Sullivan he was g-going to h-hurt me." I gushed, unable to stop the flow of heavy tears I was now shedding as William cradled me in his arms.

"Darling, you didn't know this was going to happen. You didn't know okay? Don't take it out on yourself. You're safe now baby. You're safe with me." William soothed, kissing my forehead.

Although I was still shaken up, I couldn't help but thank any supernatural being I could think of for delivering William Winston to me. He was not only my fiance but my hero as well. As I sat there crying in his arms, I couldn't help but think about how grateful I am to always have him by my side.

"Will?"

"Yes darling?" He asked.

"I love you" I murmured, burying my head into his chest.

William chuckled, "I love you too Jane. But as much as I like to cuddle with you right now, I have other much important things to do."

"What?" I questioned him.

"Baby, I can't let Sullivan's unconscious body laying forever on our bedroom floor. It's not really the kind of sight I would like to see you know?" William joked, smile amusingly.

I slap William's chest slightly at his attempt for making a joke in this situation.

He laughed, "Okay okay I'm sorry. But really though. I gotta call the cops. Then we need to go to the hospital to see if you were injured."

I nodded at him. "I think my bones are broken."

"Shit, does it hurt? I'm sorry baby. I should have come sooner. What did that bastard do to you?" William asked out of concerned.
