Everest pulled on his jacket before walking towards the main room. He opened the door in the wall, picking up a seraph blade with Jace and Alec following.
"What are you doing?" Clary asked.
"Every second we waste here, Hodge gets closer to Valentine," Jace answered.
"Hey, we're a team. I know you're mad right now but Hodge could be dangerous," Clary said.
Everest walked to the other side, checking to see what they had as if he was in a bakery picking a good cupcake.
"Clary, enough," Everest said. "Those are my best friends out there being threatened by Valentine. Asiana and Amelia are my Simon, okay. You don't get to talk us out of this. You don't get to give me the emotion cloud your judgement shit because there is no option here. I find them, I keep them just a little safer."
Everest picked up seraph blade before walking out.
Alec walked up next to them. "How are we gonna find Hodge? He didn't leave anything behind that we can track. Maybe we should ask Magnus for help," Alec said.
"You should stop thinking with your steele, Alec. There's more than one way to track," Jace said as he dialed a number.

Everest sighed. "You go after Hodge, I'll go check on my friends," Everest said, pulling his phone out. "Looks like I'll have to confront them sooner rather than later."
"You okay," Alec asked.
"I will be when this is over but for now, I'm pissed," Everest answered.
"Be careful," Jace told him.
Everest nodded. "Always," he said before walking away. "And Jace, get that necklace back for me."
Jace nodded. "Okay."
Everest dialed their house number, waiting for them to pick up. "Hello," he heard.
"Hey," he said.
"Everest, you bitch," Asia exclaimed. "Where have you been. I checked your loft but it was burned and I got scared that something bad happened to you. I called Luke but he told me you were fine. I didn't believe it for a second."
"I know, I know and I'm sorry. Things have been hectic and I'll tell you those things later but right now, you're in danger," Everest told her.
"What," she exclaimed. "This isn't funny."
"I know but I found out who my father is and it's not good. There's just too much to explain. Do you still have your necklace?" He asked.
"Yeah, but Amy lost hers a couple of days back. Bitch misplaced it," she responded.
"No, it was stolen," Everest said as he turned a corner
