while kisa and hoseok were bonding, the rest of the boys were in shock.

jungkook had been extremely confused about hoseok's rush to help her, especially after he had witnessed their near-kiss. was he missing something? he decided he would have to ask kisa about it later. right now, his problem was a very confused and angry kim taehyung sitting across from him boring holes into his skull from his glare.

kim namjoon looked at the situation and quickly assessed it during the awkward moment of silence. before taehyung could act on his mixed feelings, namjoon spoke up. "there's no backstage viewing for the fans today. i'm calling a group meeting. i'm telling sejin hyung to wait for us in the car while we discuss something and we'll we out as soon as possible."

the five other boys watched as their leader walked further backstage to where the managers were discussing details amongst themselves. with his absence, taehyung saw this as an opening to glare at jungkook again.

it was clear to everyone that tensions were running high, and despite their loving attitude during the fan muster, it was still awkward between them. seokjin tried to ease the tension. "hey, i think we did pretty good today."

jimin, catching on, added, "our performance was even better today than yesterday," he said brightly, though his eyes were still nervously flickering between taehyung, jungkook, and the room hoseok had dragged the girl into.

"when?"

the movement in the room was stunned to a stop at taehyung's words. they were filled with regret, resentment, and confusion.

"that night," jungkook replied by referring to the night he had ran out of the dorm, though not meeting taehyung's eyes. he knew how much it would hurt to see his closest brother look at him like he'd betrayed him. like he had broken come sort of bro code. like he hadn't done it him first.

"how?"

this time, the words were filled with hurt, regret, and confusion.

jungkook sighed at this. "what you didn't want to happen."

with this, the room fell into silence. seokjin, yoongi, and especially jimin were absolutely perplexed at their cryptic messages to each other. jungkook, though, knew taehyung had understood him perfectly.

kisa had gotten her memory back and had remembered jungkook.

what taehyung didn't want to happen.

with impeccable timing, namjoon came back from talking to the managers and hoseok emerged from the room with a slightly frazzled song kisa.

namjoon gestured to his changing room. "sejin hyung wants us to hurry up. we have twenty minutes at most."

for a long minute, no one talked. of course, taehyung and jungkook were sending each other warnings with their glares, as if to say, "try me. you'll lose." kisa tried to look anywhere than at jimin, who had been giving her the oddest looks the entire time. the hyung line seemed to be gathering their senses before they started the group meeting.

surprisingly, jimin was the first to speak up. "is anyone going to tell me why taehyung and jungkook want to murder each other and why this girl is here?" not that he meant to sound rude, he was simply frustrated with being in the unknown.

so, for the first time, the eight people in the room heard the entire story. how jungkook had met kisa, how kisa had gotten amnesia during her car crash, how taehyung had happened to meet kisa, how their friendship had been carried out, how jungkook had been lost for a year with his emotions, and how jungkook and kisa had re-met.

"i'm sorry," song kisa apologized after they had finished. "this is all my fault. i shouldn't have gotten involved. i had no idea-"

min yoongi interrupted her, not wanting the girl to blame herself for the rivalry that taehyung and jungkook had created on their own. "it's not your fault."

at the same time, he felt some resentment at her for driving the two boys apart when it could've been avoided. he scolded himself for thinking so, because you couldn't control your feelings or who you liked. you could only control your actions upon how you feel.

"jungkook, i'm sorry," taehyung said, his voice cracking a little. "i was unfair."

almost immediately, jungkook's entire being softened with love for his brother. "hyung-"

"no, this was my fault," taehyung interrupted. "i knew from the moment that she introduced herself that she was the girl you were so infatuated with that one night when you came back from your hotel. and knowing that this girl that was so beautiful and compassionate was unknowing of you seemed like the world was giving me a choice. i could guide her back to you or i could take a chance for myself. i'm sorry, i was selfish."

namjoon's eyes widened a little as he finally put together the pieces. taehyung had been put at a crossroads when the pretty girl had been sent to him, like some kind of angel. would he let jungkook get what he wanted or be selfish and get a try at what he might not ever come across again? it was a truly hard choice, and he didn't blame taehyung for making the choice he did. sometimes, tempt is the greatest sinner of all.

jungkook wasted no time by wrapping taehyung in a tight embrace. "hyung, i don't blame you. i should've done something, but i was weak."

"brothers forever?" taehyung asked, his tears falling onto jungkook's shoulder.

jungkook choked a little, some tears falling down his face too. "yeah. brothers forever."

touched by the sincerity, one by one, each of them joined the hug. jimin (tried to) wrap his arms proudly around his younger brothers, hoseok soon joining in. seokjin couldn't help but join, namjoon and yoongi completing the family group hug.

seokjin smiled as he rested his head against hoseok's, glad that he had joined this group. though it would've probably been more easier for him to pursue things he already had with a family already involved in business, would he ever skip out on being in bts without his younger brothers? it goes without saying, that he would choose this path again if he were reborn. there isn't anything more fruitful or rewarding than being with them, and though he had known that for almost as long as he had known them, it became more apparent to him at that moment.

and with a teary smile, kisa couldn't help but be so happy that though the events of the past year was a total mess, everyone had worked through everything. jungkook and taehyung had reunited as brothers and no secrets were kept between them anymore.

in all honestly, she was kind of jealous. kisa knew that despite their long friendship, she could never have a bond as pure and warm with gayeon and yoosung.

there was something different about being an idol and in a group with other people. as you suffer together, you also achieve together. as you cry together, you also laugh together. as you get angry at each other, you forgive each other. as you get hungry with each other, you also feast together. despite many hardships, the people that you grew up with in those years aren't just bandmates or friends. at some point, they become your family and part of you.

these boys were brothers and best friends. it gave her inspiration to try and fix her odd friendship with her own two best friends.

when the group had fallen out of the hug, taehyung handed her his hat. "i hope we can stay friends, kisa."

with that, song kisa gave them all a bright smile, dimples and all. "i would want nothing more." she took the hat from him and tucked her hair into it, walking outside to the car with the boys.
