We were supposed to go out of town together for our senior trip but of course the mayor throws a party and his parents are forcing him to go...which means me too. "Stop the car I'm getting out." He sighs frustrated. "Can you chill out? We already rescheduled our flights for tomorrow, just behave."

"I'm not a dog, I'm your girlfriend. You know what just to make your parents happy I won't be anymore. Please stop the car..." He pulls over and locks the doors. "Listen baby we're not breaking up, I love you. Now please just cooperate with me and come to this party. My parents are annoying I know but just for tonight can we all just get along?"
I sigh wiping a tear I didn't know fell. "Fine..." —
We arrive at the party that screams elegance and expensive. "Remember after this is over it's us against the world." I smile to myself and link arms with him. As we step inside we see the ballroom filled with all the ritzy citizens of the city. "Where are your parents?" He looks around but soon spots them talking to the mayor himself. "Just great." Yoongi sighs guiding me over to an inevitable encounter.
His mother is the first to see us and smiles, not at me but her son. "Oh Yoongi we were just talking about you. Come say hi to the mayor." The mayor smiles widely at the both of us. "Oh and might this be with you? Is this your friend?" "No this is my girlfriend Y/n."
"She a beautiful girl, lucky man." Yoongi's parents smile the fakest of smiles. "Oh isn't she? She was also valedictorian of their graduating class and is a promising artist."

"Oh really? That's amazing, I wish you the best in your future Ms.Y/l/n. I must go converse with other guests. Excuse me." The mayor shakes my hand and winks at me before walking off.

"She's the key to winning over this business deal, keep her around longer son." I shake my head. "No she's not some trophy you can use and show around like a prize. I owe her a vacation and we're leaving in the morning." My father shrugs. "Fine but when you two get back we're having a dinner with her family. Let's talk about the engagement."
