"There's something I need to tell you guys." I say shaking as I sit in a booth with my friends in the diner in town.
"What's wrong bro?" Jason says worriedly
"I..I...I'm gay" I say looking down ready to be shunned.
I'm playing with my thumbs holding back tears when suddenly I hear my friends start laughing. "What's so funny?"
"Finally." Luke says
"What are you talking about?" I ask
"Bro we knew you were gay we were just waiting for you to come out on your own." Kota says and I instantly say
"So you are okay with it?"
"Yes of course bro. So have you told your parents?" Luke asks
"Um.... no"
"Why?" Jason asks
"I don't want them to reject me."
"They won't just tell them. We're staying over tonight so we will stay by you if you want?" Kota says
"Please" I beg

Dusty's POV
It's been 3 years since I came out and 3 years since the bullying started. When I came out at school everyone just laughed and called me a fag and "fairy boy". My parents told me not to let them interfere in my life just because they can't handle it. Some people give me sympathetic looks and only bully me so they don't end up in my position. I'm surprised I get bullied I am 6'6" and built from working out every day but I guess they don't care.
I walk into the school with Jason to my right, Luke to my left, and Kota behind me. When I get to my locker and open it a hand flies by me and slams it shut. Then the person says "Morning fairy"
Me being the sarcastic little shit I am says "Isn't this position a little too intimate for a straight guy?"
Jason and Luke snicker while Kota looks like she's ready to kill. Jesse pushes off the locker and says "Listen fag no one loves you and sure as hell no one would want to be intimate with you."
"That's not what your dad thinks." I say and smirk.His fist flies forward and hits my eye.I turn and look at Jason and say
"Still smexy?"
"Dam straight Dusty. Smexy like always"
Jesse buts in and says "Aww look at that Jason's a fag too"
Me and Jason look at each other then start laughing. I'm crying clutching my stomach and Jason's on the floor. I say between laughs
"Jason's pretty much a brother to me I would never even think about Jason in that way you dick"
"Sure. See you later fairy" Jesse says then walks away. I walk to my first class of the day math and sit in the middle of the classroom with Jason, Luke, and Kota. We sit and listen to Mr.Frost talk until the bell rings. I jump out of my seat and try to leave but Mr.Frost says
"Dusty come here for a moment." I do and he motions for me to sit.
He says "I need you to tutor James Laken for me you're good in math and he has a D. Can you do it?"
"Sure" I say then he says "You two can meet tomorrow in here at 6:30. Fine with you?"
"'Yeah"
