Matt's Turn

Dusty's dad hugs him than says"I'll give you two a minute while I go get the nurse."

He leaves and I walk over to the bed and run my fingers through my hair and Dusty flinches. My breathing hitches and tears threaten to fall as he opens his eyes back up. He looks down in shame and I fall to my knees and gently grab his chin and pull it up to look at me. I look into his eyes and see fear and shame. I slide my thumbs gently across his cheeks and he flinches a little but then leans into my touch.

I softly whisper "You're safe now I promise. I know I've hit you and scared you and I can't express how sorry I am for that but I will never ever hit you again."

He nods then the nurse comes in followed by his doctors. My phone dings and I look at it and it's from Matt who texted me SOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I looked at Dusty and showed him the message and he nodded. I kissed his cheek and told his dad what was going on then headed to Matt's house. When I got there no one answered the door but I heard groans so using the spare under the mat I let myself in. I called out to Matt but he didn't answer so I looked around until I got to his parents room and I was appauled. Matt was tied to the head board by rope and bleeding out of his you know. I walked over to him and put my hand on his shoulder. He flipped and started begging and pleading saying "No more please sir no more" I said

"Hey Matt it's me James you're okay I promise I will get you out and to a hospital"

"No no please no"

"Hey hey Matt relax you have to I will be beside you the entire time I promise. You need to get checked out." 

He slowly nods then I untie him and bring him wrapped in a blanket to my car. I speed to the hospital and run in with him. Brantly's dad sees me then asks after they get him in a room 

"What the hell happened?"

"I don't know I found him like this"

"Ok Dusty's doing good..."

"Ahhhhh no nono" Matt screams "James  No No James" 

Seconds later a nurse comes out and yells "James" I turn to her and say "Whats wrong?" 

"We think Matt was raped and he is flipping out on all the doctors and nurses so we need you to help keep him calm."

i nod then she leads me to the room he's in and he's fghting off the doctors and nurses. I walk over to him and grab his hand gently. He stops flipping out and sees it's me. I say

"Matt stop they just want to help you. You aren't in danger." 

He looks down ashamed. I say "Can you give us a minute?" the nurses nod then leave. "Matt were you raped?" 

He looks down ashamed and nods. "Matt is this the first time?" "Yes he usually just beats me"

"Who Matt? Why?"

"I can't say or you'll leave and I'll be all alone." 

"Bro I'mnot leaving you."

"My dad and because I'm g...g...gay"

"Matt guess what I am too now can you please let them do this  so you can press charges and come live with me." "Will it hurt?" 

"It may hurt a little and feel weird but it will help I promise." "Okay."

I walk out and the nurses go back in. I walk over to Dusty's room and see he's up talking to Luke and Kota and Jason. I walk in and  they all look at me. Dusty says "What was up with Matt?"

"What the hell do you mean is wrong with Matt?" Jason yells

We all look at him and he says "Look me and Matt have been hanging out. Now what the hell is wrong with Matt?"

"His homophobic dad found out he's gay and raped him."
