I adjusted my delicate gold necklace on my collarbone.
It went perfectly with my black dress.
I sat on my bed to strap my heels.
Just as I was done, my phone, sitting on my bedside table, lit up with a text.
Caleb : Is the slower twin ready yet?
I rolled my eyes.
Crystal : I'm faster than you, sucker.
Caleb : Ha. Ready or not here I come.
This time, I laughed.
Fifteen minutes later, I was sitting in the passenger seat of Caleb's Mustang.
He raised an eyebrow after scanning my outfit. "Who are you dolled up for?"
I jabbed a finger at my heart. "Myself. Crystal Nora Byres is ready to party."
He chuckled. "Good." Then, his expression hardened. "Seriously, Crys, I won't let them trouble you."
I smiled at him. "I know, Cal. You are the best brother ever."
He smiled back. "Damn right, I am."
