"I'm going to miss you, Katie." Kia throes her arms around me. "I'll sneak out and visit you sometime, I promise," she whispers in my ear.

I smile and hug her back. "Don't get introuble, you!" And this time I whisper, "Shoot your shot with Angelo, Kia!"

We pull away and her face is bright red.

I turn to Angelo and hug him too, "By Ange, I'll miss you!"

"You too Kate's. Maybe sometime we'll go over to Camp Half Blood."

"Oh hells yeah!" Miranda smiles as she hugs Angelo goodbye. "You all are welcome anytime!"

I turn to Alex. "I'll miss you, Alex" I say.

"I'll miss you too." He says and hugs me tightly. "Thank you he whispers."

"Thank you, too." I tell him. "Never hesitate to IM me, I'm always down to talk no matter the time difference. I'll always be there."

"I'll always be there for you too."

He says and I smile. Yes, we love each other, but only as much as a pair of good friends can.

When he pulls back, away from the hug, smiles are plastered on both our faces.

"Ahem," someone coughs behind me and I don't have to turn around to know who it belongs to.
"Travis, don't--" I start but Alex cuts me off.

"Its okay, Stoll," he says, "She's all yours."

Travis raises his eyebrows.

"What I'm talking about is," Alex continues, "she is your girlfriend. But if you hurt Katie ever again, in any kind of way, I will hurt you. She doesn't deserve pain in any shape or form, so if you so much as set a toe out of line--"

"I think he gets the idea, Alex." I smile at his friendly protectiveness.

"I don't ever plan to hurt her." The son of Hermes nods. At Alex's look of suspicion, he adds, "I'll be the first give you an Iris message, I do."

There's an airy pause. And then, "I'm sorry, by the way. For being an asshole to you." Travis says.

"Yeah, yeah, you were huge jealous asshole."

Travis chuckles, embarrassed.

"I'm gay. I never liked Katie."

Travis slaps his forehead. "I'm such an idiot!"

"At least you don't associate the LGBTQIA community with stereotypes. So that's a plus." Alex waves a dismissive hand. "Don't sweat it, man."

And with that, I can tell that given some time, Alex and Travis will grow on each other.
