Chapter 30

The next day we caught Thalia up on what had happened. I thought back to what Luke said.
"If she was here she'd be on my side"
Could he be right? No there is no way.
Percy had called Bruce and Alfred was coming to pick us up. I had put together part of a plan for bringing us back into business. One thing that didn't make sense to me was why one incident caused so much trouble.
"Annabeth" Percy called "Alfred is here"
I sighed and grabbed my bag.
"Coming"
The only reason why I was leaving camp early was for Barbara.
I walked up half-blood hill. I took a second and looked at the fleece. I walked out to the car waiting for us. A black SUV. I opened the door and jumped in. I was headed to get us out of one heck of a mess.

We stopped at Wayne manor. I went straight to the cave where I found Dick.
"Hey" I said
"Your back early is Percy here too" he asked
"Yeah Percy is and we're only here to straighten out this mess with Cadmus." I sighed
"Well let's hope we can quickly" he said
"That would be a good idea" I said
"Do you have a plan?"
"Yeah" I said "I hope it works"
"I'm sure we'll figure it out." He said
I heard footsteps and Bruce and Percy walked in. Bruce looked tried, more so than usual.
"Hello Annabeth" he said
"Hey" I said glaring slightly at him.
"Did Wally get home?" I asked
"Naw" Wally appeared in front of me.
Percy jumped.
"All of you guys just need to showing up out of nowhere!" He said
"Why cant we?" Barbara asked from behind him.
"Gah!" He shouted "Annabeth could I barrow your hat for about a week?" He asked
"No" I said "okay now that we're all here we can figure this out."
"All right"
"Okay so when we dropped Wally off I noticed something up with Mayor Smith" I said "it seemed to be the mist at work and that he was a monster. Well anyways I did some digging online-"
"How'd you get the internet at camp?" Percy asked
"I might have snuck out" I said
"Who are you?" He demanded
"So after I did digging I found a file on the police database-"
"How'd you get into that?" Dick asked
"I taught her" Barbara said "you know I can do more than just kick someone?"
"Well yeah-"
"So like I was saying after digging" Percy looked like he was about to say something. "Don't say a word seaweed brain"
"But-"
"Not a word" I said "so after digging I found a missing person report for Trevor smith." I pulled out a copy of it. "A week later he showed up as if nothing happened. He ran for mayor and was elected now we are put under check."
"So what does this have to do with helping us?" Wally asked
"I think the situation is a lot like what happened with June. I think that man is an imposter. If we can reveal him then we can put an end to all of this" I finished
